For example, if I had a friend who was a negro, would I say "Patience, my Black Friend".

Or, If I had a friend who was asian, would I say "Patience, my Yellow Friend".

No, Qui-Gon is not racist. Its just a way of expression. In Attack of the Clones when Obi-Wan made the remark about Anakin being his "very young" Padawan, he wasn't saying Anakin was the baby Ewok in Return of the Jedi.

Anakin may be a colored brother, but he will have his rights!
