Penetrating Attack vs Devastating Attack (Saga Ed)

    What is the difference between the Penetrating Attack and the Devastating Attack talents (other than Penetrating Attack requires Weapon Focus as a prerequisite)?

    If you take both talents, do they stack?

    If memory serves, Penetrating Attack ignores 10 points of Damage Reduction (DR), while Devastating Attack treats Damage Threshold as though it's 5 points lower, making it easier to send an opponent down the Condition Track.

    AFAIK, they stack.

    After re-reading the descriptions about 10 times, I finally spooted the difference. Merkurian, you were right in that Devastating is Threshold, and Penetrating is DR. They both treat the respective values as 5 lower though.

    The difference is just one word - very hard to spot!
