No CO2 or compressed air canisters will likely be let on a plane. At least not filled ones. You'd have to empty them first, and check regulations.

 

He's right about that of course, they don't want anything that could potentially explode on the plane for some reason

I was under the impression that this was PFF only, but it sounded like an open competition in a later post...is it open to all and we're just going ?

 

I will bring all of my camo and fun stuff.

The Command post field is open to anyone on weekends, so it is highly likely that there will be "mundanes" there as well as us enlightened folk...

just becareful with some of the mundanes. at the field i play at, its a bunch of tourny people and they think they are the greatest, and rec players are scum. maybe its differnet down there, but up here its rather annoying.





and for some odd reason they got really angry when my little group got sick of them and broke off from the big group and took the best field

 

I ***hate*** playing with tourney types.



I'd much rather play with rec types who are just playing for fun.

 

I'l have to see what my paycheck looks like. I may have to bow out though. This factory warmdown may kill my wallet.

I've done paintball a couple times and it's a blast. (no pun intended)

If I can swing it, I will.

Greedo has my 98, but I do have a Pro-lite that is still up for grabs.

I also have a huge amount of camo and other accessories that I'm bringing.

So, what kind of terrain is it? Desert, Woodland, or Mossy? Because then I can use a ghillie suit. (They have desert camo ghillie suits.) I might be able to get a forest one also. And if anyone wants to know, the Army Surplus Store sells Ghillie suits made specially for paintball, and are only in the $20-$30 range. They also might be at sporting goods stores or outdoor supply stores like popular.

 

Typically, i've found that at most groomed fields, a Ghillie Suit is not totally necessary. There is rarely enough concealmant to make it worthwhile.


Now, if you're out in the woods with friends playing renegade, or at a scenario game, then I'd definitely try and get one.

Just a hunch, though, that this field is more speedball and groomed fields and less about stealth and camoflage. Why? because the more paint you shoot, the more $$$ they make. If you can see your targets, or can bunker them, then you will shoot more paint.

A combination of lack of funds and more homework than I expected is making it very difficult to justify going.
