Phx PFF Sock Policy ***Everybody Please Read***

Hey team,

Since we had a bit of confusion, I thought I would make sure everybody is up to speed.

Socks are fine to post with in moderation in the social threads. If you want to have a bit of fun with some of your socks here and there, that's great. It's usually helpful to have something in the bio or sig-line simply saying it's a sock. Just make sure they aren't posting as much as you are normally.


Socks that make fun of (or are very similar to) actual people are generally frowned upon...except during sock puppet contests. There was a good one making fun of me back during our early contests. It was perfectly fine because it stayed only for as long as the contest and stayed only in the contest thread. When we have our next sock week, that one is free to come back for that limited time. At no time should anybody put somebody else's personal info (name and whatnot) in the bio without that person's explicit permission.

Socks that are only a little similar to a "real person" (Like Trooper212) are also acceptable for any time as long as they are well behaved and used from time to time.

i believe that the modsquad rule was like 3 socks per person. but it isn't enforced with any alacrity.

That policy has not been enforced for a long time now, if ever. It makes sense, but we haven't exactly been keeping tabs on how many socks every member has.

 

This is because for the most part, people are responsible enough not to abuse it... Certain people come to mind when it comes to sock abuse, but for the most part, we all play nicely in the sand box.

No one has to worry about enforcing laws when people respect each other, and each other's privacy/lives.

Gee.. I wonder if we could make this concept grow and pervade all of society???

It's not my fault i have 4 socks really it isnt my mum threw out my password to three of my accounts to i dont have them anymore and now i only have Me and my 1 sock but actually I'm a sock cus i lost my first account.
