Phx PFF Sockpuppet Theater Information and discussion thread

I saw Denver do this, and our Illustrious Queen thought it'd be a great idea, so we'll try this, too.

It's called Sockpuppet Theater. It will be a fun, weekend long event that we'll do over the first weekend of every month (Friday to Sunday Night). For our first time, it'll be Friday May 31-Sunday June 2.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a sock puppet and post in the theater, in character, throughout the weekend. At the end of the weekend, or over the next week, the goal is to ID who was what sock.

Since we conveniently have PFF meetings on the 2nd Saturday, then we can see who can ID the most socks. Prizes will be awarded, or at least public humilia... er... recognition can go to the person who ID's the most socks, has the most creative sock, etc.

So create up those sock puppets, and get your persona locked down for the June Edition of Sock Puppet Theater.

 

Sock pup-pet: (sok pup'it) n.

1. Chyren's term for troublemaking aliases. It is now used when referring to aliases in general. (From the The JC Glossary - "Welcome" Edition)
2. An alias, usually created to disguise the identity of the person using it. In a few rare cases a sock puppet has grown to take over the original username.
3. An alias registered to make fun of someone's username, to take advantage of a humorous situation, or to cause trouble.
4. A derogatory term describing a username.

It was lots of fun too. If I had kept playing it, they wouldn't have even realized I was a sock. They thought I was a newbie from a diff. town .

Sounds like an interesting and fun idea. Now to design them... hmm... I would have sworn I saw a sock puppet that looked like Darth Maul somewhere...

 

It would be hilarious to see someone actually show up at the meeting with a custom made sock puppet!

You not need socks if you just grow fur on feet like me. me feet always warm (not smell so good though)

I don't have access to all that fun admin stuff. All I can do is change my name colors - so, I'll be just as much "in the dark" as everyone else. Just beware of Obey Wann.

Dang, it's so hard to create a different persona! I'm working on it, though!

 

It is simple just register with the name of an old video game and slap a bounty hunter icon on it and your done.

 

Difficult as in: I need to create a different personality. Not as easy as it sounds, I have found! *Grumbles*

 

socks are natural, socks are good. not everybody has one but everybody should.

KG, here is a good idea for a new personality. Get on the boards and praise the greatness of Harkin's Arrowhead because they have a DLP and then alienate everyone who was involved with the lineup at AZ Mills. You can't lose with a personality like that.
