Amph Phantasm Series

I've only seen the first two. VHS classics, both of them.

 

Coscarelli just announced that Angus Scrimm has died.

 

R.I.P. to a true legend and icon of Horror Still hit hard by this, even though it's not a huge shock in a way with his advanced age it's still really upsetting and sad to me.

 

Here's my Angus Scrimm autograph. I can't say I'm tremendously surprised. He was very old and frail when I met him in 2014 and it was clear to me that he wouldn't be around much longer. But just on a personal level as someone who does these conventions a lot it was really heartwarming to see this guy come and do the show because he clearly loved his fans.

He's brilliant in the 'Phantasm' films. You won't find a more fun horror performance. He chews the scenery and is having a ball doing so.

 

That's awesome you got to meet him and get his autograph. He seemed like a very kind and friendly man in person, certainly nothing at all like The Tall Man he brilliantly portrayed. It was awesome how even with his declining health he still made the effort to meet his fans and fans of the series.

 

Just heard about his passing.

Sad to hear about Angus Scrimm's death. He was by far the best part of the Phantasm series.

 

He definitely was, among other things. The atmosphere, music score and the creativity of the series were other high points.
