Phil Brown, best known for his role as Uncle Owen in Star Wars: A New Hope, passed away today at the age of 89.

Sorry to hear he passed. I thought he did a great job portraying Owen. He will be missed.

I read this in the yahoo group I am in. I was shocked by this to say the least. It seems that a few of the OT actors are slowing fading into the Force in recent years.

Very sad to hear about Phil Brown passing.

I saw him at Celebration II in 2002.
