Phx PHXFF Temporarily down

Hey all. The PFF website and alternate forums are temporarily down. Keep checking back. I thought maybe people would come back here as a fallback spot to post. From what I could gather from Webb, the folks that host the site are currently working on the problem.

That too - the good news is it should be an easy fix, the bad news is that it will take a cupla days to go through, because DNS takes a bit to propagate.

Ok - here's the scoop on what's happening with the boards.


Register.com, which is the registrar for phxff.net, has FUBAR'd their DNS records, and had to make a restore from something they had almost a year ago...

Don't know why, don't really care.

I have to get the logon information for the register.com account, from Greedo, and then change the DNS servers as listed with them - once I do this, it will take approximately 48-72 hours for the change to go through (DNS takes time to propagate).

I'm called Greedo this morning, he claims that he doesn't have any of the logon information for the account... and that Webb has it all.

Further investigation reveals that Greedo's attempt to change/move the information for the domain has failed. So, I have to get the logon information so I can change the DNS settings. Once that's been done, I can then make the change to move the domain over into Webb's name.

Scott, if you're out there, PLEASE go to register.com, and get the username and password to logon to the account. Then please email it to me at admin@choadhall.com

or answer your phone - I keep getting "subscriber not in service area"

Because every day that is delayed, add 3 days to that, and that's when the boards will be back up.
