If you really want a new Mini, get a normal one and visit one of the many, many chip re-programmers that are springing up around the place.

The only difference (engine wise) between the Mini and the Mini Cooper, is the programming on the chip. It is programmed to limit the engine on a normal Mini, and the limits are set higher on the Cooper.
