Did you like "Free As A Bird", Meg?
My dad bought me Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band on vinyl for my 5th birthday. John was still alive.
I guess you could say I was raised on the Beatles, as well as George's solo work. I love it all.
But now I must be going to band practice. Laurie isn't feeling very well right now, but she might be around a bit later.
See you guys!
Later, Tom! Give Laurie a kiss from me!
Yeah, tell Laurie not to feel down. Seeya Tom!
Casper, Free as a Bird gives me chills. *shiver* There is something very eerily beautiful about it.
Me too, Meg!
Didn't you think the video clip was just beautiful as well?
I have John's original demo. That one's quite moving.
EDIT: Peculiar spelling.
I loved the video.
Wow... it must be quite something to have the original. I just love listening to the evolution of Strawberry Fields on the Beatles Anthology.
Yeah, that was great, wasn't it? I absolutely fell in love with the original "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", too.
Did you also see the "Real Love" clip? Tom and I were talking about that one the other day.
That's one of the beautiful images from the clip: John's white piano rising from the Mersey, with the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool in the background. I've been there.
Yes, I remember that. It's quite a striking image.
While my Guitar Gently Weeps has got to be one of my favorite Beatles songs. *sigh*
Well, I've got to get up early tomorrow and finish packing before we leave. I'm afraid I have to say goodnight. It was great talking with ya, Casper.
Same here, Meg. See you tomorrow!
I'm going to log off, too.
sorry for flaking out on the picnic last night... my head was throbbing and i couldn't think
you were all probably better off for my inability to articulate
No, it was less fun. But luckily you'll be here for two days!
Yay, we can have another picnic!
