well I had some fun today , glade you all could make it and I wish I would have gotten to meet Jefferson but by time I knew who you were you were gone.

 

I had a blast. Talked to alot of people who were in costume *tried to learn their secrets * AND I found something I was good at... FREE PAPER! Get 'ur FREE PAPER!

And I never had seen so many Trekkies gathered together in one place before... it's kinda creepy

 

I SO wish I could be there with you all!!!

Dave, the armor looks fantastic!!!!!!! Absolutely beautiful. Are you planning on weathering it, or are you keeping it pristine?

I'll show you my Rebel Fleet Trooper when I get it done.

We had a nice, short meeting in the 'demo' area of the convention, as the lobby was pretty-well packed.....we had several folks hangin' out with us, and we talked oodles about the new website(www.rmff.net; big thanks to Obi Wannabe fer forkin' the cash out, and getting us up and runnin'!), the upcoming events, and the summer fanflic project! Next meeting is on May 5th(Sunday)at my place to do final confirms on costumes, ect., and final costume riggin' fer anyone still in need......check my post for directions.

Kit, the hosting I was talking about is Soniqhost. I bought my hosting from ebay and saved 5 bucks. Do a search for a user name "Soniqhost" if this auction runs out. They also do domain registration for the cheapest I have seen (13 bucks/year), but I think that's already taken care of.

 

Wish i could have been there too. great jobs on the lightsabers too.

is there a thread where everything that was discussed at the meeting? really wish i could find out what happened there.

Who's long thin saber hilt is that? I love it. Looks like Yareal Poof's hilt, very awesome!

 

lol, I think mine might actually be the longest of those, you just can't tell it from that angle (unless I'm mistaken, b/c I made mine a little longer than I had originally planned, about 13 1/2"!!)

 

The thinnest of the group's is mine....
