Currently working on the engineering of the device. I am worried about deploying it...there has to be some way for the fluid to clear the pillow case.

Thank goodness I have friends who are engineers.

Cut the pillow into strips, on one side, length wise from opening to end then seal them back up lightly with a thin plastic membrane or very weak thread. When pillow is impacted the liquid is under pressure and accelerates out between the weakened strips of fabric.
