Pity they couldn't have managed it before Rick's death, but I guess they had no idea that was coming. At least we got Live 8 with him.

 

Just a funny little sidenote.

Yesterday I was in the cinema with the kids, seeing the new Nanny McPhee movie (It just opened here in denmark a few weeks ago)

I was a little tired because of a fishing trip earlier in the day, and keep nodding my head. Then there was a scene where Nanny and two kids drowe on a motorbike to London, suddenly I recognized Battersea Power Station, and believe it or not, there was a flying Pig among the ballons between the chimneys, and then I wasn't tired anymore

Afterwards I looked it up, just to be sure it wasn't something I had dreamt, and it seemed that the director is a huge Floyd Fan and have included flying pigs several times in the movie.

 

I just bought a set of kick ass Pink Floyd pint glasses. I will drink plenty of kick ass beer.

 

Hey, we got those too! Did you get them at Target? My husband is a huge Floyd fan, and when he saw these, he gasped.

I got him tix to see Roger Waters this November here in Phoenix for our anniversary. I'm looking forward to it.

 

I saw that article about a possible reunion for charity.

It was pretty frickin' sweet. My husband loved it...I was worried since it wasn't "Pink Floyd" per se but just Roger Waters. It sounded like they just played the C.D. of The Wall-every note was perfect and Roger sang his heart out.

Before the performance, we noticed a "homeless" man on the floor of the arena, walking with his cart between all the people. The cart had a sign that said "Homeless Will work for booze" and we thought "How did that guy get IN here?". Some people took pics with the guy and I was thinking "hmm...I wonder if that could be him??" but then thought "naw, if it was him, he'd be MOBBED with fans once they found out it was him!" But I was wrong. 15 minutes prior to the show's start, Roger Waters was walking through the thoroughfare, and random lucky people took pics with him just for ***** 'n giggles!!

 

Reminds me, need to get tickets for when he comes to London.
