For those of you that didn't get the Bedouin feast bit. Back in the day, with the old albums, there was a double sided page that came along with Atom Heart Mother, wich had two recipes on it. On one side it had the traditional Bedouin wedding feast, and on the other it had the recipe for an Original Frankish cow brain breakfast, in German.

These are from the first CD release, I don't have the older ones here with me. Excuse the shabby scanjob.

thanks for telling :) It´s funny how Floyd still can amaze me.

I'd like to see that More movie.

Wasn't Obscured by Clouds a soundtrack also?

Yes it was. The movie is called "La Valle" or also called The Valley Obscured By Clouds. It´s also a movie by Barbet Schroder.

Hmmm, my only source is a danish website, which I guess you don´t understand. I´m not sure it´s available on DVD or VHS at all.

I'm really down at the moment, and the other night I was in the "mood" to watch The Wall again. I found my old copy and played it on my VCR. I haven't seen it in years and the tapes condition was so bad, that I'm getting even more depressed. I have to get it on DVD soon....

Yayyy!! Byron visited me last night. I guess the Prime Minister gave him the night off... two bloody hours later than expected, mind.

Anyway, I got to show him Dark Side of the Rainbow on DVD. He'd been waiting 12 years to see it. He was impressed. :D

    There, a happy thought.

    Cheer up. :D :p

    Thanks friends :)

And the piper will lead us to reason!

This show sounds like a really awesome thing.

Highly regarded combo The Section Quartet, who perform stringed versions of classic albums, have another eagerly awaited show lined up.

The group will be performing Pink Floyd's classic Dark Side Of The Moon as part of their return to New York City's Mercury Lounge, where they will play two shows in one night! 8pm on March 26th sees their unique and touching reading of the Floyd album, followed at 11:30pm with their "From Zeppelin to Radiohead" show.

Their reputation preceeds them, and tickets tend to sell out well in advance. If you want to experience the Floyd's 1973 opus with a difference, we'd advise you grab tickets now while you still can. They can be obtained through the normal outlets.

    FYI, everybody...

A new book just came out penned by Nick Mason himself called Inside Out: A Personal History of Pink Floyd. This book is REALLY NICE. It's basically his account of the band's history complemented with some neat photos, the majority of which I've never seen before! Keep your eyes open for this one...

Do Gilmour and Wright add to the book? About 10 years ago I thought that was the plan?

Piper At the Gates of Dawn is a chapter in the book The Wind In the Willows, by Kenneth Grahame...

Since I only started to listen to Pink Floyd for about two months ago and they are now my favourite band I thought that I should show my appreciation by posting in the appreciation thread.

No, it's all Nick's perspective. Which I don't mind, because out of all the members of that band, he would seem to me the most impartial and objective about their history.

The song, album is sick too, but I think The Wall is their best LP.
