Parkour expert Pip Andersen cast in Episode VII.

I'm guessing his parkour ability is one of the reasons he was cast... so Jedi? Or some sort of action role. I don't think they'd make a point of his parkour skills in the press release if he was going to be playing a senator or something.

I would expect him and the other girl to have secondary roles. I wouldn´t be surprised if he is a Jedi or something like that.

 

Inb4 people start to speculate that he is Han or Luke's son.

 

The best example of parkour I know of is the chase near the beginning of Casino Royale.

He seems really talented athletically and I love the accent. I gotta admit though... the fact that he is 22 and most of the other cast members are also so young is making me feel really old.

maybe he is just a lizard monkey. he bounces around on walls and and shoots stuff. he could just be someones sidekick just as well. shaping up to be a big cast.

Edit: hopefully not an important character....considering what he does for a living he might expire before the next film is shot. Thats what actors are for and stunt doubles do the dirty work. It seems a risque investment - you just hope he makes it i reckon that he doesnt slip and break his neck somewhere...hopefully nothing like that occurs.

 

He could be the Darth Maul of Episode VII.

It's good to see they're going down the route of actually getting people who are able to do these kind of moves rather than CG'ing it all.

I checked his website - he calls himself a professional free runner, not an actor. He doesn't even have an IMDB page (yet). So I can't imagine he has a role that requires much acting - it's got to be primarily an action role, quite possibly a Jedi or Sith.

 

Just looked at the Backstage.com page for his role; he's listed as a Lead, so is Crystal's character.

Got to wonder: how big are the roles of Thomas and Rachel? Filming has already started and all the key members were at the reading.
But I can definitely see him as a new Ray Park.

 

Either a minor Jedi character or an assassin of some kind. Bounty Hunter maybe.
