The Story: After a long journey Across the Atlantic, you find yourself in the English Village of Port Royale. It is a prosperous little town, bustling with activity from the smugglers that like running goods into the Spanish Main. As you wander along the cobblestone streets, you stumble across a small pinned up parchment, saying the following?.

?Avast there! Be ye looking for adventure, excitement, and riches, perhaps? Pirate Captain Henry Stewart be looking for lads and even lasses to go on a voyage through the Caribbean. Commander of the Sloop, ?Revenge? he seeks a crew stout of heart, hardworking, and loyal. Be ye interested? Stop by the tavern and ask for him!?

You go to the tavern, and the barmaid points you to the corner booth. There you spy a younger man, 25, wearing Captain?s clothing and writing on another piece of parchment. He sees you and looks up.

?Be ye inquiring about the Pirate Position?? he asks hopefully. ?Who are ye??

THE RULES
1.)Standard No Godmoding, no auto-hitting, obey the TOS, etc.

2.)This is NOT a fleet RPG?.. we?ll be sailing under one fleet and one flag

3.)This is an open RPG?. but after we start, New Players can only enter when we?re at Ports

4.)This RPG is based largely on Sid Meyer?s PC Game ?Pirates! Live the Life.? I will be playing a game designated as ?The JC?s? along with the RPG. For most instances, whatever happens in that game will happen here in the RPG.

5.)Time will largely be propelled via a ?fast-forward? system. Being at sea for months on end is not too particularly fun, so I will manipulate time to allow for a balance between character development and action.

6.)At Ports and when enemy ships attack, the enemy or townspeople can largely be played as NPCs?. Although I will occasionally IC as some of them to make things more interesting.

7.) The is NOT "Pirates of the Caribbean" as in, Jack, Elizabeth, and Barbossa are not characters. However, this doesn't mean your characters can't act like Sparrow or the rest... ;)

Appearance : a tall lean man, with dashing good looks and a quick smile. His blonde hair always seems to be flowing in the wind. His green eyes dance in the a seemingly hypnotic tone. Although to the annoyance of his friends he constantly sings yet his voice is heavenly. His clothes are top of the line from fine french silk shirt to wonderful russian fur coats he only has the best he can lie cheat and steal to get. But his trademarks are his dashing purple short cape and exotic black hat with an american eagle feather.

Bio : After spending a childhood attending some of the best schools in england young Rolt went to study at oxford. Upon completion of his studies he fell in love with a commoner named Ellissa. His father became in furied upon learning this. the father had her killed. Rolt went in to mourning. Rolt's younger brother Matthew secretly revealed this information to Rolt so Rolt would rebel and leave. Then Matthew Would recieve the Family estate. After stealing a small fortune in Jewels Rolt made his way to the Carribean Live. After losing his fortune he now does what he can to survive. And he likes it that way. And for the story of his hat well you will just have to ask him.

Appearance: Tall, thin, green eyes, untidy black hair that reaches past his ears and stops at his neck, handsome, wears a black coat, with a black vest and pants, a white shirt under his vest. Fast talking, and suave.
Nationality: English
Bio: Born in the Caribbean and grew up in Port Royale, Jack quickly gained the love for the sea. His father, a naval captain, taught Jack how to fence, and he became quite good at it. His mother owned a bar where all sorts of men would come for a drink. He talked with pirates, and were fascinated with their stories. Jack stowed away on a boat of a particular pirate, Jack was most interested in, and sailed with his crew for a few months and learned their ways. When he became 18, Jack became a proffessional pirate and swordsman. He is now seeking to join a crew.

Appearance: Standing a massive 6'4'', Captain Stewart stands in full captain garb, a black naval frock with gold trimmings. White with calculating green eyes and a thin mustache over his thicker goatee. Stewart wears glasses and has a full head of brown hair. Carries with him his personal rapier and a rare, one shot pistol.

Nationality: Dutch

Bio: Stewart began his sailing career in the Dutch navy at age 16. When he was enscripted to sail from Amsterdam to the New World at age 19, he gladly accepted. The voyage over the Atlantic was tough, and the Dutch Captain Shulman, drove his crewmen of the Sloop, Revenge, hard. Then, one evening, at the dead of night, Stewart mustered up enough support from the men to instigate a mutany against Captain Shulman. They left him stranded on a deserted isle, and Stewart became the Captain of the "Revenge." He berthed in Port Royale for a while, and now seeks a new crew to engage in Piracy along the Caribbean.

Appearance: Slender, medium height, long light brown hair, blue eyes
Nationality: Greek
Bio: Kacia grew up in a small village on the coast of Greece, the youngest of her five brothers and sisters. Her father was a fisherman who used to take her along when he went sailing. In fact, as the baby of the family, she tagged along everywhere and with everyone, from grandparents to cousins. But it was her father who taught her everything he knew about the sea and about life, and when he died in a tragic accident, Kacia was heartbroken. She left home that very night and vowed never to return until she had sailed the world and seen the things he never got to. Her best friend lent her the money to book passage on a ship taking immigrants to the new world, where she heard there were many opportunities. No self-respecting navy would allow a lady to join their crew, so she had to take the pirate route, but she liked them better, anyway.

Bio: After being kicked out of home by her father at the age of 12, she stowed away on a ship and was trained as a decky. She has built up her fencing skills and has become as a good a swordwoman as any man. She is tough and loyal, will not turn away from a fight.

Bio: 'the Jackal' has a somewhat mysterious background. He can get you anything, anywhere, anytime. He traveled to the Caribbean in his early twenties, being a stowaway on an English trade vessel. He began to build his contacts, using his charm to his advantage. When he met Stewart, he was quite the underworld puppet master, having found contacts in the major supply yards.

Bio: Josaphine has become a pirate in order to find out what has happend to her father Black Eyed Bob, who was last seen headed towards the Carribean. Jo has been raised on ships her whole life, so she is somewhat familar with how things work... except she's never been the one doing the work. This will be her first time out of the typical girl role.

Bio: The son of Spanish immigrants to England, Conrado was orphaned as a pre-teen when his parents succumbed to an unfortunate illness. From then on he took various apprenticeships, eventually settling for work with a married surgeon and herbalist. It was messy work, sometimes, and tedious, but since Conrado was not a natural fighter or a smooth talker he felt comfortable with it. Having finished his apprenticeship, Conrado has found work with a crew of freelance sailors looking for an extra pair of hands.

The open tunic reveals blood stained white fatigue shirt. The open collar reveals a collection of Saint's medals along with token's from plundering British vessels.

[b]Bio:[/b] Luciano or "Lukey" was born in Nothern Italy, into a family of ship builders. From an early age he learned to appreciate the Sea, more so than any of his many siblings and relations of his generation. From before adolescence he learned the way of the Sea, travelling with his uncle around the Mediterranean Sea. He once fell asleep at High Mass, and dreamed of joining the Spanish Navy. This dream stayed with him for many days, and began to believe it was a vision. Following his vision he packed a few belonings, and went off the join the Spanish Navy. For two months he sailed in the Carribean. His time with the Navy was cut short when his vessel was sunk off the coast of Port Royale. He jumped o'erboard and swam ashore. He couldn't join the British, so, he turned to piracy to feed his hunger for the sea.

Appearance: 6'5, Fat, Long Braided Black beard and Long messy black hair. Left leg amputated replaced with pegleg.
Nationality: English
Bio: Dickerson was a former member of the Royal Navy when he was a skinny, good looking lad at the age of 12. An apprentice to the medical officer on board. At the age of 27 he joined up with a crew of Buccaneers, who served the Royal Navy terrorizing the French and Spanish as often as they can. He served as the ships Medic and cook, very handy with knives. Often enjoying hand to hand combat and amputating his crewmans limbs when needed. He soon felt disatisfied with the Buccaneers, he wanted to raid and pillage England too.

Gender: Male
Appearance: very light, shaggy hair, freckly skin, big eyebrows, medium build and height, commonly seen with a forlorn grin looking off into the distance no matter his mood, hairless chest
Nationality: English
Bio: Whitecap is not an exceptionally brave fellow when the odds are against him, although he will still brandish a cutlass when his mateys are near. He loves to swim, much more than natural for even a pirate, and claims he can hold his breath for ten minutes. In a good-natured joking way, his ?friends? keelhauled him for ten minutes to find out, but he only made it nine and a half. It took quite a bit of resuscitation to bring wake him up. Like any self-respecting pirate Norhart always has at least three daggers tucked into his clothes for bar brawls, although he really can?t hold his grog and usually forgets about them when he needs them most. The last group of rapscallions he belonged to fell victim to a privateers thanks to an unfortunate error in strategy and a lucky chain shot. His ship was sailing far too near a cove on the mainland in a strong onshore wind when the privateers came around the peninsula and took out the rigging with two cannonballs linked by a chain. The hope was to lure the privateers, whose ship drew more water, into sea too shallow and run them aground but it did not work. Needless to say, the ship blew ashore. Gilbert ran for the hills and survived another day, vowing to himself to not allow such a fatal error of strategy in the future.

At the age of 15, both of his parents were murdered by a misterious assassin, and Juan promised to seek revenge. Five years after that, he found the murdered and sliced him in twenty parts, one for each year of his tormented life. For this he gained the nickname of "Loco" Valdez. Now he seeks for more adventure...exciting adventures...
