What is this Relaxicon you speak of you may ask? Well it what we are calling a massive venture to bring FanForce chapter from across the country to the Pittsburgh Comicon for three days of fun and relaxation.

Let's get the where's and when's out of the way now. Relaxicon will take place at the Monroeville ExpoMart just outside of Pittsburgh, PA. on April 25, 26 and 27, 2003.

Admission is $17.00 per Day or $40.00 for a 3-Day Pass. Under 8 are free with a paid admission. Parking is FREE.

As for accomadations I will be updating this thread as prices become available. The rooms will most likely be with the Radisson Hotel that directly connects to the ExpoMart.

We are just in the begining phases of planning events and will post them as they are etched in stone. We would like to hear from everyone on ideas for events. There is a lot to do at the Pittsburgh Comicon but we are trying to plan some events separate from the con to have a after hours and as a diversion from the con.

For information or if you would like to help plan the event you can contact either woofer or myself by PM.

I've seen some members recommend a "Meet your FF Staff" forum, where they can ask questions of the various RSA's, GSA's and other staff present. I also think some type of Staff/CR meet and greet would be good.

It'd be nice to get live feedback from everyone, and to put a face to the screen name.

Also, some type of Costuming & Propmaking discussion forums or demonstrations would be good.

I totally agree on the costume and propmaking meeting.

Maybe we can have an unofficial fan film contest amongst ourselves?

Sorry I haven't gotten around to updating things here. THe truth is I'm being ignored by the Comic Con people. I called the hotel for a quote on reservations and they told me to call back in 2 weeks. I'll try and get a definate price this week. I keep leaving voicemail after voicemail with the con people but I think I need to just say screw it and get things done by myself.
