ST Planets in the ST

on the Graham Norton show today BBC Radio 2 today Roger spoke of visiting the SW set , he said they were shooting a scene with mountains and snow .

that was about all , sorry not much .

So in a recent interview on BBC2, Bond actor Roger Moore mentioned that he visited JJ at Pinewood and saw a SW set with mountains and snow.

That'd be pretty interesting to see Stygeon Prime in VII. I wonder why we'd go there, though? The only point of interest we've seen there is The Spire, a Separatist prison during the Clone Wars and an Imperial prison during Star Wars Rebels. I wonder if it's still in Imperial control after Episode VI and they need to rescue someone from there or something? Or perhaps there's some other place they travel to on the planet.

I wonder if the Spire (the kind of Imperial Fortress/ Prison) from Rebels might feature somehow.

Ha! TK - just posted about the Spire in the Roger Moore thread. I would love to se a SW style WW2 raid on that.

Maybe they have to rescue someone from there (luke?).

Or maybe they need to take out something there.

Looks like a great location we haven't really seen in a SW film yet.

I could be wrong, but isn't The Spire one of the first examples of continuity between media in the new canon (Son of Dathomir comic and Rebels)? Maybe there is more in store for this new location in the SW universe.

 

Does seem like it has good Easter egg cross over potential.

 

Indeed it is. It's pretty neat that we saw something first appearing in Son of Dathomir this year and we'll be seeing it once again in a different time period this year. I'm looking forward to the Rebels prison raid episode on Stygeon Prime.

 

Moore is obviously not in the movie, so the most relevant tidbit here is related to the planet he saw. Merging this into the Planets thread, since it's being discussed there too for that reason.

Roger Moore is a cool dude, even those his James Bond movies are probably the goofiest of the series.

 

I'd say no to Hoth. I want that planet to be unique to Episode 5.
