ST Planets in the ST

Maybe to us. But to a lot of people who watch the movies once and don't re-watch, etc., it'd be "Hey! That desert planet that the blonde kid from the original movie is on! I remember that!" gotta sell them nostalgia vibes.

Really cool idea. Sounds more like an trick to try in Ep. 8 or 9 / spin-off flick, though. Gotta open the Ep. 7 movie much like the other ones.

Yeah, like Tatooine was for Obi-Wan, but it'll be some world that Luke would make his private retreat, where only his family would know about. A place where he trains other Jedi.

 

Call me ignorant or dumb or something, but I can't believe there are really fans that don't know the SW saga enough to know who Luke Skywalker is. Everyone I know that likes SW at least knows the characters and the general storyline, Hell, even my mom knows this stuff and she'd never been a particular fan. BUT, for the record, she's down for going to see Episode VII btw. I think the audience deserves more credit.

 

I'd like EP 7 to open on Dagobah, which is where I imagine Luke would found his new Jedi order, far away from the Realpolitik of Coruscant and the Republic and where he himself was trained. Maybe he would even send his son or one of his pupils to the dark side cave at some point to face their inner demons.

 

I see the NJKO either on Tython or Yavin IV. Dagobah, while remote, is impractical IMO.

 

I have my vote on Corellia too. So many important characters coming from there, not a glimpse in the films.

But I hope we see some new, unique planets too!

They ended up in some random Bar an call good ol' budy Han for help while he is spending some Time in the Tatooine Cantina.

I like degobah for the new jedi headquarters cause yoda taught Luke there. Maybe Luke would feel a sense of nestalgia training padawans there. But I also like Tatooine for the new headquarters. After all, its Luke's former home planet, out of the way. And he can always pu some power converters anytime he wants

 

Why would anyone start a jedi base/headquaters at such a creepy and unfriendly enviroment? Never understood that.

 

I can already see all the happy jedi younglings running around in the forest, exploring the living force, while being chased by weird jungle beasts. What a lovely way to educate the future generation of the jedi!
