Tower of London sounds good to me. Haven't been there since I was a young nipper.

BTW Mike, London bridge is very boring, and London Bridge train station is even worse. Tower bridge is the one you're thinking of but everyone makes that mistake

 

lol funny just did a search to get the picture of both bridges it's amazing how many people actually name tower bridge as London bridge

The famous story of cause is when the Americans got really excited when they brought London Bridge from us, thinking they were getting Tower bridge. When it arrived they were somewhat disappointed, and so decided to stick it in the middle of a desert and pretend it never happened

However, you do get a good view of Tower bridge from London bridge, so it maybe worth a vist after all.

Cool so we have a plan will need to get definate numbers I guess because the prices I found were for pre booking although they may not take my card so will check that out. If not it's £13.50 entrance on the door.

 

Let me know how early you will be getting the meet together because I have about a 30 minute train ride from near Heathrow to Waterloo to get there. I know you are local but I don't know about the others.

 

Err everyone will be coming from outside of London so don't worry it wont be early

 

OK - glad I am not the only one to commute in..maybe we can meet in whatever station most of us will come into..

 

where do you arrive at?

One arrives Waterloo....two at Charing Cross/London Bridge depends which station on the route they are going to get off at.

 

Well, I am Waterloo but could catch a tube to Charing Cross or wherever from there. One point for those coming by train - if you get a Travelcard when you start out it will handle all the train/tube fares.

 

ok so one definate Waterloo, you're flexable which is good, Matt and dom are Charing Cross/London Bridge, DA6 erm not sure I know where he is coming from just don't know what station he arrives at.

I'll have a look at what stations are easiest for us to meet. It may end up being Tower Hill station as it's a pain in the butt to get to as it's circle line and district line only.

At least the station isn't big, only confusing part is there are two exits to the station. But if I say like the one which you can get to the platforms on would make it easier as one exit is an exit only the other is an entrance and exit.

 

I already told J i shall be attending this meet, but thought i should make it official by posting here.

Oh, and Tower of London is a great idea, not been there for a while hehehe Not to mention getting a chance to meet the legendary Crazy_Mike

But, yes, Tower Hill Station suits me best really

 

Me and dom will probably come in at Cannon Street and walk it to the Tower. It's the quickest and best way for us really, so meeting up at the Tower of London or Tower Hill tube station may be our best bet.

I'm easy on that, gimme a time and i'll be there.

 

I'd say any time after about 1030 am would be ok for me.

 

10:30 sounds good to me. Gives us a little allowance for Public Transport
