All right, we need to decide what to do next. Here's a quick summary of what MUST be resolved:

Ben, Jysella, and Padme. Malinza, Mara, and possibly Jaina will play a big role in resolving this.

Mara's adventure on Kashyyyk and the Battle of Kashyyyk in general.

Zekk's fight with Malinza must be set up and began, but this will ultimately end with Zekk and Malinza growing closer.

The whole Corellia situation. Artemis goes there and purposefully charges into the dual traps (both Arcane's and Fey'lya's) set for her and nevertheless emerges victorious or near-victorious. Fey'lya is either killed or rendered politically impotent. Artemis is captured and jailed, but she ends up redeemed for one reason or another. Corran, Kenth, Thrackan, and companmy are also involved.

Meanwhile, our Sith hotshot, Darth Arcane, will probably go to Borleias to prove himself before Ahrimane's arrival, and gets himself killed. Arcane's personality so far suggests to me that he would take Ahrimane's arrival as a BAD thing and rush a campaign.

Ahrimane leaves Otherspace for our reality. Meanwhile, Luke, Danni, Keyan, and assorted prisoners and Light Cult Charon sneak into the convoy and leave, escaping Ahrimane's clutches.

Borleias has to fall. Whether Ackbar becomes sushi remains to be seen.

Lando Calrissian takes control of the government in the event of Fey'lya's passing and/or impotency.

Aster's epiphany over her actions, thanks to Eelysa's death. She may wind up breaking down for a bit and sob in somebody's arms (Jag's?) before she recovers and becomes both stronger and friendlier.

Jar-Jar must be roasted (okay, it is not THAT important but still . . .)

And lastly, Jacen, Wyn, and Tenel Ka have to be resolved. It would not surprise me if Wyn chose to chase after Jacen, and then there's Tenel's political mess and Jacen's desertion issue, along with him trying to resolve the situation. I am sure it will be difficult to tie everything up and ramifications may still be happening in the next fic.

Tell me if I missed anything.

Sara, the floor is yours. Once we have this resolved we can move onto the final fic.

Just remember, Arcane is a true believer. He fully is loyal to Darth Ahrimane and longs for the day when Free will and all other life forms are destroyed. It's why he's allowed to maintain free will.

And shouldn't we save Ahrimane's arrival for the final scene of the book?

I haven't forgotten. The reason why Arcane's rushing things is so he doesn't lose any of his 'privileges" such as free will. He's an unquestionable fanatic, but at the same time, he's a bit hypocritical, considering he's out to destroy free will but at the same time will make a lot of rushed decisions because he could lose free will if he doesn't provide results.

Ahrimane's arrival would probably be in the final chapter, but I think most of us are leaning towards Luke's escape being the final scene. I don't know. That's soemthing that has to be discussed.

We could always do both, actually. Arhimane arriving on the heels of Luke.

I have little/no problem with Ackbar dying.

Hey, guys. I'm sorry if I seem to be holding things up. But I've had a bit of some family trouble the past few weeks. I'm not sure when I'll be able to even write the post, much less post anything. I've only been getting on mostly to check my email and my PMs.

Again sorry about the hold up. If someone wants to take my turn this time that would be okay. If not that's fine too, but it may be awhile for me.

Hmm . . . this is a bit of a problem. Of course, family HAS to come first (as if I haven't learned that lesson enough already). So take your time and solve the situation, whatever it is. I really hope that whatever the problem is it'll get better soon, Sara, I truly do. I just hope it's better than mine (though, thankfully, it may stabilize at last soon, but don't hold your breath).

I'd like to ask everyone what we should do? If we choose to skip Sara's turn it will be the first time that someone takes a pass on their turn during this project, and I'm concerned about the ramifications of that. I don't view you, Sara (or anyone else for that matter), as expendable and so I'm reluctant to just go and take your turn from you.

If you could write the post and email it to someone . . . we could post it for you, Sara. But as you've said, you're not sure when the post can even be written so that middle ground may not mean anything.

I'd like everyone to offer their opinions before we decide what to do.

I hope things work out, Sara [:D]

As to the post, aside from waiting, there are two options. We can go to Mac, who is next in the rotation, or we can decide what scenes are needed in the chapter and divide it between the four of us in some way.

However we do it, I think this chapter should conclude the battle on Kashyyyk with Mara, and show the next part of the Jacen/Tenel Ka plot. We could also work in some more about Kyp and the Imps, as we haven't heard from them in a while. Masu and Corran are also long-absent.

okay, I'm off to try to respond to some stories finally -damn my internet connection

    xoxo, alex

I do like Alex's idea of us splitting the post up among the four of us. Sort of us all working together, there. You know?

I say we just have her skip her turn and move down the next one.

Then we treat it like Flowerlady posted her part.

And hopefully, by the time its her turn again then she'll be able to post.

    Hi...

Okay here's the deal. My hubby and I are having some issues... not major ones but enough to make me an emotional mess. But anyway. Things are working themselves back out and right now I need the escape. So, if you all can wait, I hope to have at least part of a post done by Tomorrow night and, if all goes well, the rest by Firday. I'm planning on doing an Otherspace scene to start with. So, if something comes up on my end, maybe someone can add to it and post it. I have part of a chapter to beta for one of my Padawans that I've been sitting on for almost a month, then I'll be back to start writing. Hopefully, by tomorrow night I'll have the Luke, K/D scene done.

Thanks for all of your support!!

Okay, here's the promised first part of my chapter. I was trying to show how things are progressing for the Jedi with the CoL. I also came up some backstory for the CoL, not sure if this clashes with anything mentioned before, if it does--I can change it.

The last part will be about Tahiri and Valin and how they decided to head for Kashyyyk to help get the children off the planet.

    Chapter 20: Reason to Hope

Blackhole Cluster, 20,000 Light Years from Woordori, Otherspace

Things were moving quickly. Since Luke was united with Keyan and Danni, the Cult of Light had been busy gathering resources and able bodies to begin the long and treacherous campaign against the Army of Darkness, as Arram called it. It was made even more dangerous because of the extreme secrecy of it. As it turned out, the Cult of Light was not completely stranded on Woordori. Though their space craft were not completely fight worthy?something the three humans were correcting?they were small, surprisingly fast, and easy to get out under the scrutiny of the shipyard orbiting the planet.

Most of the small ships stored deep in cave hangars were created from ancient cobbled together parts from many different fighters, but all of them in amazingly good condition. The Cult of Light didn?t have many pilots among them, but fortunately most of the craft had been modified to accommodate a Charon?s larger body and multiple limbs. It amazed Luke and Keyan at their ingenuity, but mostly the two Jedi were surprised that the secret hangar existed at all.

When Luke questioned Arram about the ships, she informed the Jedi that her direct ancestor, Liniste, had been queen of one of largest Force-sensitive Charon hives, whose survivors became the Cult of Light, four millennia ago. Liniste was greatly disturbed by what Ahrimane was doing to more and more Charon, including members of her sect. Despite the gentle nature of this queen and her hive, she was influenced by humans who entered Otherspace to become armed. Arram admitted that her great-great-great-grandmother wanted to fight Ahrimane then, once hearing about the pain an suffering the Sith way brought and seeing it herself for the past centuries of her long life, but was not strong enough militarily to do so.

While building her secret arsenal, the queen met with Ahrimane, hoping to use diplomacy to curb his appetite for taking over all the Charon hives long enough to make contact with others who could join her. However, while the ancient queen was meeting with the Sith, he killed her and took over her escort of nearly five thousand Force-sensitive Charon for his own evil purposes. That was when the Cult of Light went into hiding, but continued their quiet war with Ahrimane. However, over the millennia, the Cult of Light?s numbers continued to decrease, causing them to go on a much less aggressive war with the Sith and fitting with their gentle ways.

Luke looked out of the cockpit of an old cobbled together ship that had too many different ship parts to be recognizable. Besides, he would never have been able to identify any of the ship models anyway. Keyan was slightly better at the guessing game, but not by much.

In the distance floated an armada that was poised above the black cluster of hundreds of blackholes. Every once in a while a ship would venture too close to the strong gravity wells and be simply disappear as the ship would blow apart. Luke could feel the turbulent energy of the cluster. He had been to the Maw a few times, once with Kyp who talked about how he skirted the blackholes there, managing to escape with Han and Chewie. But this thing was at least ten times larger than the Maw and according to Danni?s monitoring the energies there that they were closer together.

In her estimation, getting through it would be impossible. Obviously the reason, the Charon led by Ahrimane hadn?t managed to get any further than they had when she, Keyan and Hypodemia had been there weeks befo

    Two things, Sara.

I'd put Ahrimane arriving earlier than 4,000 years ago. He was a dark legend to the old Sith Empire, and that was destroyed 5,000 years ago.

Also, Keyan probably knows that Yavin was destroyed. Luke felt the battle during the Battle of Bilbringi, so he'd know what had happened and probably would've told Keyan.

Other than that, i don't see anything wrong with it. Thanks for doing this. :) [:D]

Yeah, I know...I thought he came around six thousand years ago...What I was elluding to that Ahrimane took a while to get all of the Charon under his control. Maybe I need to make that clearer in the section.

Also, Keyan probably knows that Yavin was destroyed. Luke felt the battle during the Battle of Bilbringi, so he'd know what had happened and probably would've told Keyan.

Actually, Keyan wouldn't know because he and Danni were taken at the very first battle at Balkadan. And were in Otherspace before Luke closed the gate. Remember the spent nearly a year on the frozen planet harvesting construct bodies for food? But Luke may have more knowledge, but I thought that he closed the gate just before Yavin fell. He felt the battle, yes, but I doubt that he would think it lost, he's not that pessimistic. But I can change that last bit. I was only trying to show that though there is reason to hope, when they come back their galaxy will be completely different.

Other than that, i don't see anything wrong with it. Thanks for doing this. :) [:D]

Thanks....Things are getting back to normal, tense, but more normal than thay had been. [:D]

Okay, I went back and fixed some typos and such in the first part and I also made it clearer as to what I was alluding in regards to the backstory of the CoL. I also clarifed that Luke didn't know for sure that Yavin fell since he closed the Gate right before it did so, and therefore, was cut off from the rest.
