Lahsur, take 5 hps damage as one of the droids' blasters sends you scrambling for cover. You're able to lob a grenade into their midst, and you notice that it veers at an odd trajectory to hit the center of the group. Roll 4d6 ion damage.

Yuul, were you going to attempt to finish off one that survives the ion blast (assuming that one does; Koohi may roll uber-damage) or go for one outside the blast radius? He'll end up blasting 4 of the six.
    ----------------------------------------------------
OoC: C_J, I'm gonna say that you can use a readied action to Aid Another in order to assist on an attack roll with a hurled object, only with a Use the Force check instead of an attack roll of your own.

OOC: Outside the blast radius of the grenade, effectively whoever the first droid Yuul sees is.

    Grenade Damage: 5+4+6+4=19

Lahsur looks ascance at the sudden change of the grenade's path, but quickly shrugs it off. He lifts his riffle to fire at the surviving droid to his left.

    Attack: 8+?
Damage (on the off chance he hit something other than a wall): 7+3+1=11

Must've been a faulty detonator on that grenade. That, or the droids are better-shielded than you thought. The group advances, albeit haltingly, and you can see their photoreceptors flickering, indicating that it's taking considerable effort to maintain power.

Yuul, you're able to blast a good-sized chunk out of the armor of one of the droids outside the blast radius.

Four of the droids (including the completely undamaged one) fan out for optimal firing positions and try to paint the area with blaster bolts, however Yuul and Lahsur have the advantage of cover from the supply crates. Unfortunately, ducking for cover doesn't put Lahsur in a good position for a decent counterattack right off the bat.

Two other droids advance on Soleria and attack with their vibroblades. However, her defensive routines -combined with the droids' sluggish reflexes- negate their attack patterns.

    >>I thought 19 was pretty good on 4d6.
"They must have some kind of ion shielding. Either that or these genades have gone stale."
Lahsur sticks by his stated action for round 2.

IC: "Combat droids tend to be shielded against ion weapons, unlike their civilian counterparts..." Soleria says calmly, sliding between the two droids in a fluid movement, "However, their reactions should be slowed..." The young Jedi slashes one of the droids with her saber, careful to keep the other in her line of sight.

    OOC:
    Fight Defensively
    (+4 Ref Def)

    Attack Roll 15 +4 -2 = 17
    Dmg Roll 6 + 4 +6 = 16

Soleria: you whirl your blades in a defensive circle, catching the droid's blade as you do so. You're able to use your leverage to push it completely out of position, leaving it vulnerable to follow-up from the opposite end of your weapon. You bisect the droid from shoulder to torso.

Soooo...I'm sensing that Sith battle droids aren't exactly capturing you guys' imaginations...

Sure they are. I'm waiting for round 2 continuation of the battle.
    Rnd 1: Lahsur threw grenade.
Rnd 2: He fires his carbine
He and probablly missed, but I haven't seen official verdict.
Rnd 3 will be a repeat of Rnd 2, hopefully with better results.

    My bad  [face_blush] :p

Yeah, that was a clean miss by Lahsur.

Yuul quickly continues his firing, aiming at either the same droid or the next nearest droid depending if he has taken out the first.

Rnd 3 (if we're there yet)
Lahsur continues to target the left-most droid:
    Attack: 14+?
    Dam: 6+5+1+1=13

Sorry, got swamped at the jobby job today, which is where I normally post [face_mischief]

I'm gonna take the liberty of rolling for C_J to speed things along.
    ------------------------------------

Lahsur & Yuul: the ion detonation has slowed the droids down considerably, such that you're able to nail your respective targets dead-on. Likewise, Soleria is able to behead her opponent, simultaneously bringing her blade about to intercept a hail of blasterfire from the undamaged droid.

Meanwhile, the other remaining droid advances on Lahsur's position, firing (to little effect) while it does. It'll take another moment or two for it to come around your makeshift cover, however. From here though, you could almost swear that those red photoreceptors are displaying amusement at the prospect of skewering you with its vibroblade...
    -------------------------------------------------
OoC: Made a post in the "House Rules" thread. I'd like to hear what you guys think, because I'd like to apply those rules here as well. Most of them are only applicable to Soleria, though...[face_skull]

Lahsur yelps and scambles backward, shifting his aim to the droid that somehow sneaked up on him.

    Attack: 13+?

Lahsur: There's something inspiring about being afraid for your life. You decide you're going to do your level best to blast that rictus grin off of that droid's plating, and you make it so, nailing it right between the photoreceptors.

Yuul pivots to fire at another droid and idly wonders who built this place. He shoots at the droid going after Lahsur unless Lahsur's shot brings it down.

Lahsur fires again at the same droid if it doesn't drop. If it does, he switches to the next one closest to either himself or Yuul.

    Attack: 10+?
    Dam: 8+2+1+1=12

    >>I get the feeling Lahsur may have just damaged a wall or packing crate. For a weapon specialist, he doesn't seem so special at the momment.;)

OOC: Those rules seem fine, probably wouldn't take advantage of them, but nice to know about. Although I think Dark Rage is incredibly overpowered in this system.

IC: Soleria turns to deal with her next foe, mindful of her companions' situation. One thought nagging at her mind. 'Where are all these Sith-spawned robots coming from?'

"Well, either there's a closet full of them, or a machine somewhere nearby churning them out. Does it matter? We're in a target-rich environment!" Yipe!

Lahsur, apparently being in imminent mortal danger works wonders for your marksmanship. Your shot dropped the droid that was closing in on you, but your next shot made a nifty scorch mark on the wall next to the one firing from a distance.

Yuul, your reflexes were just a wee bit off, as the droid you're firing at now wasn't slowed down by the ion blast. Your shot glances off a bit of its armor plating.

Soleria, you can close on the shooter with a move action and still get in an attack. (OoC: when I rolled for you last round, you got a nat 20 on your Use the Force check to deflect the droid's blaster fire; therefore you get a "suite recharge")

    >>I find the prospect of impending doom contracts the mind wonderfully...

Lahsur shakes his head to clear the fog and see if his vision clears any. "Must be dust on the sights."
He draws a bead again and fires at the most threatening droid to either himself or Yuul.

    Att: 16+?
    Dam: 8+4+1+1=16

Yuul fire again at the droid that is rapidly drawing near to him while saying, "Fricken over-sized appliances, why don't you DIE!"

Taking the day off. It's my daughter's 1st birthday :D

Just logging in to say that the two of you succeed in offing the last droid. See you tomorrow :)

Lahsur hastily works his way around the room, looking for other enterances to make sure there aren't any other doors that more of these droids could use to sneak up behind us as we go forward.
"Check a couple of those crates. Make sure there's nothing in them. The sooner we find where these force-saken droids come from, the sooner we can stop them pestering us."
