ST Plead your one idea to J.J.

Please stay as true to the spirit of the EU as you can without sacrificing the Hero's Journey. The EU is rich, and though some of them are uneven, many of the books are great and offer wonderful storylines; please recognize this when crafting these films.

Make it disgustingly pornographic and horrifically violent.

 

Kill at least one of the Big Three in VII to avoid the entire ST feeling like a flat retread of the OT. It sounds like you're bringing in new leads - let them be leads.

 

Strive for new aspects of the film to become iconic in their own right rather than over-relying on "fanboy" callbacks.

 

Please, make it good.

Dear JJ.

if you ever read this thread (was it created for you?) Let there be some clandestine offspring of the Sith too in order to get some new villains or villains to become Jedi afterwards. Why not let Darth Maul and Darth Tyranus having children too? That is very unjust because Darth Vader has even two children. And even Sidious could have some child. While having been a mere senator in Coruscant. How about a romance between Lukes son and Dookus Daughter?

JJ Abrams: Keep probing the parameter space of astronomical phenomena as understood in 2014. I do not yet know of a white dwarf, a neutron star or a star cluster (like Pleiades) in the Star Wars universe. Kudos to Lucas for bringing in ocean planets with Kamino, which are a significant chunk of the category 'super-earth' (see GJ1214b). (I wanted to cleverly plead for the villain to be from the Pleiades, then generalized.)

Speaking of orbital mechanics and terrestrial flatland military strategy, does a retcon exist to explain why all blockades in Star Wars-land occur only on the ecliptic or equator or singular orbit of whatever planet. This all started with Ric Olie saying there's the blockade, when I the viewer was like, and there's a ton of open sky. "Because George said it's so" is a coward's retreat; don't.

 

I think it would be fascinating to see the death of either Han or Leia set Luke off....he avenges them by killing the murderer (s) but in doing so goes too far and reaches a very dark place.

 

Please give us fresh, exciting and new: give us stuff that hasn't been seen before in the SW universe that will amaze and excite us and give the old scrotes like me the feeling we had when we first discovered Star Wars way back in '77. Well I can wish...

 

I'd just like the lightsaber battles rely more on emotion and substance rather than flashiness. For me nothing comes close to empire and returns lightsaber battles and id like a style more similar to those.

Please please Mr. Abrams....the ONLY thing that will make Star Wars good is Jar Jar as a Sith fighting the Transformers and the Hulk at the same time, and with Spock killing Boba Fett with the neck pinch. You HAVE to include all of this.

But seriously, the more Jar Jar the better.

 

Please, JJ keep the EU intact!

 

Try to improve on what the OT set out to do and do not simply revisit it. Additionally, don't let older fans control your vision. Those fans will always fall back to memory; suggest all the wrong things; and thus, screw it up for everyone.

Lastly, think of this as a movie.

What made the original SW great wasn't that it was a SW movie, it was simply a movie that blew people's minds.

Blow people's minds.
