ST Plead your one idea to J.J.

much to your annoyance (and my joy) I think he will be referring to Mr Lucas a lot. He is only the director I think his influence on the core of the story will be small, his job is to tell the story that exists with flare (lens or other)
- anyway my plea to JJ - dont listen to the fans who have become cynical, make it something that kids will love but familiar so existing fanbase can hold it to their hearts, listen to what is written down for you, mirror the OT and PT but give ST its own feel but do not make it anything like Star Trek, this is Saturday morning Matinee on a grand scale

 

ha ha ha I love how the "most liked" posts in this thread are all about "Please don't listen to us fans, we crazy!"

 

also - as for me the continuation story is the most important thing these pleds are of mild importance as my pleas would have been to Kennedy and Ardnt and whatever ideas were passed over by GL that may or may have not existed circa 73 - 83

 

I'm reminded of the Groucho Marx quote - "I refuse to join a club that would have me as a member". It can be applied to why one, in general, should avoid fan advice.

Make the film G-rated. Instead of shooting first and flirting like an obnoxious teenager, have Han Solo adopt a bunch of baby Ewoks.

My one plead/idea - if there are SkySolo children don't make them all über superpowerful force-users. Han deserves a normal kid that has some normal smarts.

 

No scenes near a fireplace. None.

 

Make the movies fun to watch over and over, that is the key ingredient of the OT.

 

Please JJ, don't buy into the ludicrous idea that implementing a single concept is enough to make an entire trilogy of good films.

Ooh, bonus one: please make fans sign a contract that says they can only see the film if they finally stop whining about the things they didn't like in previous films.

Which leads to another pled: Dear JJ, please consider carnage as an element in your film. ANH didn't shy away from presenting our virgin eyes with searing images of a deep-fried crispy Uncle Owen and Aunt Briquette, and we turned out fine; if the story calls for it, you shouldn't shy away from it either. And whatever you do, DON'T THINK OF THE CHILDREN. Or the soccer moms.
