I'll be getting busy on getting info out to folks as soon as possible. I'm going on a road trip tomorrow with some of my LAFF friends to begin gathering data. We're going to start with the area around the convention center and work our way out. There's a lot of construction going on down there -- which will especially impact parking -- so we want to start letting people know what they can expect.

You gotta go on a spy mission at the fig!!

Have a scout walk from the hotel to the con center 6 times dragging a large box of bricks. With each successive trip, add a few more.

Report back with the following data:

How far was it?


How many times (if Any) were they accosted for 'spare change'?

How many bricks could they carry before dropping dead of exuahstion?

How fast did the LA medic units arrive?

How soon was that person able to stand up and do it all again?



This is information we all need to know!

I need to know how many gallons of suncreen to bring to protect my poor alaskan skin

 

Good thing C-IV isn't happening this weekend -- it is supposed to be 83 degrees in downtown L.A. today... yikes! That, however, means we are over our normal temperature for this time of year. The average temperature in late May is usually around 76 degrees. The UV Index is also currently recording "extreme" levels -- it would definitely be a day to stay inside the convention center!

As far as future weather goes, Darth_Tofu, it will no doubt be overcast in the morning, giving way to sun in the late morning/early afternoon. It does tend to cool off rather rapidly in the evenings, so a light jacket is always a good idea.

When you go down there you should create a site for pictures around the convention area and of hotels. The ones on the convention website just don't create a vivid picture. I had better luck with my windows live Local. lol
