Well I would love to do the july 1st, but I can't because I am going to Washington D.C. with my high school band to march in the 4th of july parade and we leave at like... 10 am on july 1st, BUT, the july 29th performance sounds awsome! I have an anakin costume, but I couldn't be anakin because i cut all of my hair off, lol... so if anyone else that is 6'3" around 230 - 260 lbs wants to do it, and they have long hair, they could use my costume.

You all have seen my costume, its the same as the wookie jedi, just without the wookie stuff, its the one i wore to C3. If someone else has a better costume then they should do anakin.

I would love to be a part of it though, no matter what role I play.

We have the skit part already covered and worked out.

You are welcome to take part in the skit.

We need "Jedi" types and "Troopers"

Keep checking here and watch for when rehearsal will be.

There will probably be a rehearsal in the Morning/early afternoon on the 29th to work out the performance.

So, just let me know if you are def. in or not for the 29th.

We need a head count and such....

 

i can do both dates. what do i need to do to work the door?

 

Stand around in your costume for about half of the game, then you can change and watch the end.

They did one of these "family nights" last month.

Basically you stand around and have your picture made with people who want to take your pic.

Son of a gun, I need to start taking day classes so I don't have to miss this stuff! Any chance this starts after 7:30pm? If it did, I could bee line it over to the Altell (sp?) right after Ecology.

Ok, I just called and asked for times at the Alltel and I understand they start at 7pm. I could head out there right after class (if I'm needed) and be there before halftime (most likely). Do you think I'd have any reason to shoot for this?

The part we're wanted for is going to require us to be there at 5.

I wouldn't spend the money just to stand around in a costume, unless you just wanted to.

 

No I haven't been able to finish it, but then it doesn't matter. I'll be in class at that time. And by the way, that message you hadn't gotten because of what happened to your cell phone: one of the ladies at sewing circle bought me better quality fabric for Princess Leia, but it's ivory. I wanted to know if that would be ok before I start cutting into it.

 

Ivory sounds good to me

Unless you're planning on entering a "Cannon" only costume contest...
Ivory should be fine.

Not with Princess Leia. If I try and go Cannon, I'll do that with a Padme costume. Thanks y'all. I'll go ahead and use it. I just don't know when I'll have a chance. I may not be able to touch it until I finish Ecology, which will be around mid August. Then I'll have little time (if any) before the next term starts (I'll be finished with Humanities in July).

take me off the july 1 list. danny just informed me that we are going to dallas that weekend. he already has six flags tickets. i knew we were going but i didnt know it would be that same time. crap. with josh playing so much ball this summer its hard getting a time.

 

Drago will not be there July 1st.

July 29th is still a go. Custom armor and all.

 

We will be there. And I am sorry to Jacob and the rest of you for not chiming in more I am here. Just a little side tracked latly. Been running a few more test on the ole ticker.

 

Saturday went really well.

I mean, where else can you see dancing Vader???

I think we were more popular than Superman??? Anyway, we have a unique oppurtunity coming up on the
29th, so we need to be committed (oh my, that sounds bad if taken out of context...) Anyway, need to
be committed to having a really good turnout.

We should be on the radio again before the event so, we need a strong turnout.

Some of our Jedi are very "EU"

So, the Sunrider will do just fine.

We will be meeting at 330 at the Burger King across from Alltel arena.

We will then go over to Alltel and practice the skit.

Then change and do the meet and greet/ picture thing.

Then the half time show.

This is so the new folks that are coming from this can meet us and we can get a feel for how it's going to go.

So... how did the Twisters event go? I was reading this thread, and by the sound of it it appeared something didn't go right. Was it a lack of attendance? Just curious.

 

and why didnt you make it??? hmmmm. if you had you would have been privy to the craziness. i hope my light teasing comes across in this. actually there were several things that didnt go well but they were out of our hands. when someone in the crowd shouted, "where's the wookie?" i knew we were in trouble. plus it cant be good when you follow whiffleball.
