Please welcome the new Fan Force United Kingdom RSA

What do I say lol?
First, I think we have to give Phill a huge round of applause, he brought the FF-UK so far forward from where it was, to a great place. We have an active and friendly forum, we have chapters, meets, and a good future ahead of us. So thank you Phill for doing that, I sure hope I can make as much an impact on here as you did.

Second, apologies to all who asked me in the run-up to Phill's announcement on who got the RSA position and I had to divert your questions lol, I couldn't tell you if I had been nominated or not. I like to be up front and honest with you all, so realise how hard it was for me not to say

That leads onto the third point. This is our Fan Force group, not just mine. I have some ideas for our future (the newsletter wasn't actually mine, kudos for that goes to Phill and also to MEPA aka FF NYC who are doing a similar one) but I will push that one hopefully to a successful completion, and also I want to see the FF-UK carry on the route Phill was pushing us, because that really is a good place to be. Both he and I were lucky enough to see where several of the USA FF take their groups, and though we don't always have the same resources, I like what they do. But I am open to all suggestions, ideas, advice, and especially if you are not happy about something. Come to me. Don't hold it in and get angry, I will do my best to resolve every and all situation we have. I agreed to take the position (which I am still a little gobsmacked about lol) because I like this group we have, all of you. Everyone is an individual, everyone is unique. So through good times, and I know there'll probs be some bad times, I hope to have fun and help make this a successful little venture. I nearly did Bilbo's one hundred and eleventh Birthday speech

As for contacting me about issues or anything else, please PM/email/MSN me. I will get back to you as soon as I can. Don't panic if I am slow, I won't be ignoring you, just busy elsewhere

I just wanted to add a big thank you to everyone else who was contacted regarding the position for their positivity and their responses to the questionaire. I knew, regardless of who won, that the group would be in great hands.

 

Don't worry about it big man.

I know the FF would have gone in a better, sexier, gingerer direction if I'd got the job.. but oh well.. maybe next time around.

The OFH made a great choice and I'm looking forward to working with you and I know you'll do a wonderful job for the FF-UK.
