Oh, so the first to break the tie won? Sorry, Rachel and I had sent out a message to people saying they had until Sunday midnight to vote *sigh*. Thought she told you. oh well.

I think we're waiting till tomorrow night before it's final, that way nobody will have any arguments on the validity of the election.

Thanks, I think we just figured a published extension date would be most fair. If it were a real election you wouldn't just take votes until a tie broke. Everyone would have a chance to vote until the polls closed. Yeah, technically the polls closed last week, but if we re-opened it's only fair to have a new deadline

I was just thinking Rachel, as CR, was going to announce it. I'd only e-mailed it to her as a suggestion which she agreed to, but I didn't want to take over running the election per say.

 

Sorry about that Kathy. This has been a really busy week for me. If the tie has been resolved then I guess there is no reason for an extension to the election. Congrats to those voted in and now that we have everyone in place, we can work on deciding about our next meeting and getting on with other club business.

I agree with Tom on this. If we stated in our Yahoo group message people had until Sunday night they should be allowed to submit votes until then. I say you can still plan a meeting Rachel, it doesn't change who our members are. We'd all want to come to the meeting (I hope) regardless of the outcome.

 

Sounds good to me as well, for much the same sentiments.

I assume that is the case. I'm sure Halibut would have mentioned if the results changed.

 

Hopefully now that people have seen the outcome of their votes, some of the tension can be eased, and we can hopefully all come together as we did in the past. I also would like to just wipe the slate clean with everyone here who I've expressed grievances with in the past couple of months. Throughout this whole ordeal , I felt like my allegiances were torn in two. But now things have changed and it's my job to assist Rachel, Kathy and Allison to maintain this club as a fun establishment to be a part of. From here on, I will put to rest my said grievances in the hopes that time will heal the wounds of our group so it can be back to normal again.
