    Modhammer.

    You know it makes sense.

    :D

Alternatively, we could take a combination of "Game Modster" and "the Hammer Mod" and just call you the Game Hamster.

It's gonna be the Ban Hammer. We all know this to be true. :p

I won't say congrats, because you know we all wish you the best.

I will, however, quote the fine works of Stan Lee: with great power comes great responsibility.

    Excelsior!

So, when are we going to be able to edit our posts as much as we want? And when is the image display going to stop being so terrible?

I've outrun Imperial modders. Not the local bulk cruisers, mind you, I'm talkin' 'bout the big Californians, now.

Valid points. Very valid on the perma-edit. That would be very convenient for level-ups in Tide of Flames, if we could just edit our original sheet instead of...whatever we end up doing...

I don't think the Modhammer can install perma-edits, can he? Doesn't that take some sort of ubergod IGN individual to do that? Likewise the image system?

It is in my power to allow for perma-edits, but I am strongly opposed to it. This is a topic that pops up every once and a while. While it most certainly is nice to edit you're own sheets, the destruction permaedits will do to the continuity of RPing is not worth it. I refer to the scenario where one player writes his post exploiting or using to his advantage some point in the post prior to his (as would happen in any RPing fight/duel/or battle of wits), and then the now losing player goes back to edit his post to make the other player's attack not-applicable. Or in simpler terms, I refer to the situation where one duelist edits his post after his opponent moves to make moot the post of his opponent. RPing, by its very nature, relies on a set, unchangeable history for it to make sense. Perma-edits would effectively kill that.

Plus, if you are really itching for editing original sheets, just send me a PM and I can do it for yah. :) You send me the sheet and a link and it will take me all but 30 seconds to get it done.

As for image sizes, that is something that can't be changed by someone like me. Thats for the IGN Gods to deal with.

That argument works better when there isn't a "Dated Edited" tag, thus allowing you to realize that people have monkeyed around with the post since then (I can tell that you've edited your post 3 times since this edit). I know some of us aren't even aware that you can change the subject line, but there are things at the top of the post tell us useful information. Face it, everything on this board can be exploited, and the people who do so will be called out on it for the twits they are and will rapidly find themselves running out of people to play with. In the mean time, you're blocking off a useful tool because of some mythical moron.

People get into car accidents, that doesn't mean we ban automobiles. We just make sure everyone's well-versed in their use and go to town on people who break the rules.

And the word is "lose", by the way.

Thank you for your keen grammatical eye Light...

Of course you can look at the edited by line, but why take the chance? If it is edited and you catch it, its not like you can force the player who did it to repost what s/he did. Its best not even to give the offender this option at all.

And again, everything you're looking for can be done by a PM to a Mod. :)
