I am working on an idea for some fanfic and I am looking for some feedback on my current plot ideas. Please be gentle as I am very new to this and am trying to get my feet wet, as it were. All advice is welcome. Not all is filled in yet...

    Working title: Star Wars: Knightfall

    Genre: Science Fiction

    Tense/POV: Past/3rd Person

Setting: Yavin IV, Naos III, Null

    Part One

    Inciting Incident:
What happens to the protagonist to put him unavoidably in the path of the antagonist?
He sets out to find his missing Jedi Master and runs into Darth Krataa who lures him over to the Dark Side. He returns to Yavin IV to seek out revenge on those who he believes turned their backs on him and his Master.

Internal Initial Conflict (call to action):
What does your protagonist most want? Why can’t he have it? How will he try to get it?

External Initial Conflict (call to action):
What does your protagonist want to accomplish or obtain (physically)? How will he go about it?
He wants to find his lost Master / She has gone missing and the Jedi Council will not send anyone to find her / He will leave and seek to find her on his own.

    Woven-in Backstory, Vital Information:
What happened before the inciting incident that we must know to understand the story?

    Part Two

    Internal Conflict (obstacles):
Why is your protagonist hesitant to strive for his goals? What (emotionally) makes him falter?
Darth Krataa is warping his thoughts and memories in order to turn him to the Dark Side. Enraged at the torture, Carrde falls to the Dark Side, blaming the Jedi Council for his Master’s loss. His attachment for her as well as others being his downfall.

    External Conflict (obstacles):
What stands in the way of your protagonist’s goals? What will happen to him if he fails?
Darth Krataa stands in the way of his goals / If he fails he will be killed

    Internal Higher Conflict (obstacles heighten):
Why should your protagonist turn back now? Why doesn’t he? What’s at stake?
He should turn back because he will be shunning the Jedi Order / He has been corrupted / His Master’s life.

    External Higher Conflict (obstacles heighten):
Who or what is trying to stop your protagonist? Why?
Master Daralis Vel / They have a past relationship (romantic), Her sense of duty to the Jedi Order demands she either bring Trakker back from the Dark Side or take him down.

    Internal Highest Conflict (obstacles intensify):
What makes your protagonist realize the unavoidable importance of his original goal? What gives it new meaning?
His Master has found a rare source of healing crystals that are needed back on Yavin IV but is held by Darth Krataa

    External Highest Conflict (obstacles intensify):
How does the antagonist get the best of your protagonist? What could make it worse? What happens to make him believe that there is no way to win?

Internal Point of No Return (stakes):
What happens to change your protagonist so that he’ll never be the same again?
He succumbs to his character defects and falls to the Dark Side and turns his back on the Jedi Order.

External Point of No Return (stakes):
What makes it impossible for your protagonist to go back, to give up?
He is enthralled by Darth Krataa and learns that he (Krataa) is holding his Master in captivity and torturing her.

    Darkest Hour:
What is the worst possible thing that could happen to your protagonist?
He is completely consumed by the Dark Side and loses all of those he cares about

    Turning Point:
How does your protagonist realize he must continue to fight? How does he decide to risk everything? What new approach or idea has he come up with to battle on?
Daralis is able to return Trakker to the Light Side of the Force through their love and friendship but is captured by Krataa and Trakker must find a way to save her / He decides to risk everything because he is afraid he will return to the Dark Side and realizes he must fully commit himself or lose himself entirely /

    Part Three

    Internal Climax:
What does your protagonist realize at the crucial moment? What does he learn? Overcome?
/He learns that love is stronger than anything and that he can be redeemed in the Force./He Overcomes his enslavement to the Dark Side and embraces the Light Side of the Force allowing him to fight THE ANTAGONIST and win.

    ÙÚ (preferably simultaneous) ÙÚ

    External Climax:
How does your protagonist defeat your antagonist?
    During Lightsaber combat

    Resolution (external):
What does defeating the antagonist accomplish? How are things different?
His Master is freed but Daralis is killed after sacrificing herself for Trakker / Trakker returns to the Jedi Order with a sense of drive, purpose and commitment that he lacked before

    Character Growth (internal):

How has your protagonist changed? He has been redeemed and returned to the Light Side of the Force but is forever changed by the love and sacrifice of those around him.
