    I loved Dune till about 1/4 of the way through the 4th book... then I only read it just to say I read the whole series... the last 3 books were almost intolerable...

    I have really enjoyed the new series by his son Frank though.

    Fear is the little death

    I just re-read the 1st book of the series. I can't bring myself to read the rest. Its not my style at all.

    Not a fan of all the politcal back stabbing (figurative and literal) that takes place.

    I guess I'm too much of a nice guy at heart. No sense for the downright nasty.
