    I think mockery of "evil" people is important. I'm no fan of Family Guy, but the Bin Laden sketch that they did after 9/11 is so brilliant specifically because it realizes that one thing people who thrive on hate and violence fundamentally do not understand is humor. I just remember thinking that if Bin Laden had seen that Family Guy skit, he would have been utterly baffled that we would find a way to mock someone who had caused such pain and suffering. It's the same way with the Nazis today. One thing they really can't stand is being made fun of. They're desperate that no one know what they really are: petulant children. But we do know and we mock them. You bring hate; we find you ridiculous. You bring violence; we laugh at you. We win. You lose. Sorry to be serious again, Vivec. :p

    With all due respect, this line of reasoning looks 100% like it was created by a comedian trying to justify their own importance.

    I don't really care to define "Winning" or "losing" against them. I haven't beaten Bin Laden if I snicker at some National Enquirer story about him needing Viagra, nor has he beaten anyone if they express sadness that a family member died in the 9/11 attacks. Life isn't some weird chess board mapped out cosmically against some other person or ideology.

    My perfect ideal is not to do what irritates bad people. It's to not have to give thought to bad people at all, because they're so thoroughly marginalized they could only possibly harm themselves.
