ST Poll: Rate Trailer 3 -- Love It or Hate It?

Let's have an objective count of how fans evaluate trailer 3.

Loved it.
IMO it confirmed the MSW outline in a big way. I feel like we know the gist of the film now. Scene for scene. Mystery box no more.
Yet, visually they still haven't given away the farm, so seeing the movie will still be a fresh experience.

 

"Average or OK".

 

Somewhere in the middle for me. The action was good but no real indication of the plot. The novelty of watching it has already worn off for me.

I really like elements of it like Williams' score, seeing/hearing Han, Leia and Rey (I think Daisy will be great regardless), but I thought the visuals (whilst clearly reflective of high production values and sleek) were a bit generic. I thought the OT and PT looked like nothing else at the time, but this kind of didn't look that much different to the last two Trek films. I thought it all generally intriguing though... i.e. it makes me want to each it. So it obviously works. Fair to middling...

 

Loved it. Maybe loved the first two more, but still loved it.

 

Honestly, it was really exciting. But I have to say the TPM trailers were even more thrilling!
What I found most impressive and made me 'love it' was some of the cinematography was excellent.

 

"Other" I guess. Doesn't do anything to indicate my waning interest in Star Wars is about to be reinvigorated, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I dislike it. More like indifference coupled with a nostalgic pang for the days when I used to get excited about this stuff.

It was wonderfully done. It was a great combination of John Williams' score and the wonderful direction of JJ. I cannot wait for the movie, I have a feeling that I'll be emotional throughout the whole thing.

 

It was phenomenal. It hit just the right emotional notes, leaned on nostalgia without feeling stuck in the past, revealed characters we know and love, finally got me interested in the ones I don't, and all without spoiling a plot I'm still thankfully in the dark about.

 

Well, considering the fact that I was covered in goosebumps and had teary eyes going on while first seeing it... I think it's safe to say the trailer hit all the right notes of nostalgia.

Han's voiceover was really the point where it started to hit me hardest. Like, this IS star wars. It may not be exactly what Lucas would have written, and you obviously can't please everyone, but sometimes a new perspective and a fresh take on a classic series is needed.

It's been ridicuously well received by the general public too. The news can't stop talking about it, ticket sites were crashed, apparently it broke the preorder record on fandango by EIGHT times the previous record (I mean, think about that... how many huge blockbuster have there been? And TFA obliterated those numbers by x8!).

 

I dig the **** out of it.

Well I think it was just good. Would be nice if it was an option on the poll.

Loved it, specifically because it didn't give away any specific story details.
