"Polls" in this forum? We have 2 options... (3 options, actually!- Proof Inside!)

That's unlikely. We'll probably just have some guidelines for polls that need to be followed.

And redundant threads get locked as soon as I next log on. The same will happen for polls that don't follow the guidelines.

I think it's a better compromise than disabling polls altogether.

I can't remember what the case was. But it seems the be a moot point anyway, so I may as well use the poll option to create dozens of irrelevant polls.

 

Or.. you could help with the FAQ entry on games polls guidelines, so that future polls in this forum are better thought out, and are less annoying to the masses.

Erm....just made the other poll as I noticed there was about 5 polls or so in the top 8ish posts.

Generally, there's a trend:
1) No polls
2) Lots of polls
3) One or two really smart polls
4) No polls, etc...

Sadly, which some polls like "What is your favorite Star Wars video game? " polls don't have enough slots to vote to truly make this effective. They can get across general trends though.

However, they aren't a problem, and many polls (unlike my latest) can get some discussion going.

I really just made the poll as more of a joke, though I had checked this poll, and saw that it was locked at the time.

 

I say mandatory caning for the creators of stupid polls.

I second that.

As one of the remaining british ambassadors on the forum, I feel it is duty to point out how much unneccesary junk is being posted up.

I say it before, and I say it again, 'Polls are for newbies who have no idea what a conversational and debate thread means.'

If something really needs to be voiced, surely a simple thread with a few dozen lines is easy enough to make.
