Actually, not to draw 'attention' to me, or make anyone joelous, but I don't get pop-up ad's on these boards.

I mean, yes I have before but there aren't many, and I never know if it comes directly from the JC.

And I don't have a link to them, because I always exit them when (if) they come up. I will try and add a link if one 'pops' up anytime soon

 

It's BYOB's sick idea of a joke. Anyone who posts here automatically get popped.

Our techies have isolated the problem, but it's something we'll have to discuss with our hosting co. which "might" not happen till Monday.

I've been getting the pop-up too. Maybe all those paranoid newbies who are claiming that the JC is putting spyware on their computer after they visited all those porn sites are on to something...

 

It's the ad banner up top that sets the popup off.

I've clicked the banner and signed up to do the surveys. This one was about new TV shows that are debuting this fall. Maybe I'll win $100?

 

I'm glad I found this thread. I was thinking of making my own on this topic, then figured naw, someone would say it's not appropriate for JC.

It's good to know lots of others are ticked off about pop-ups. They've gotten so much worse the past year alone. Now the official site and TFN are doing them.

 

Irony: since I posted in this thread, I haven't received one pop-up.



What's even more ironic is that as soon as I said that, I got a pop-up. THEY'RE READING MY POSTS OMG!!11!!21!!1!!
