Apparently Vatican Security is mad at Pope Francis because he keeps sneaking out at night, dressed as a normal person, to talk to and help the homeless in Rome.

 

From memory John Paul 1 did similar stuff - although that might've been while he was still Patriarch of Venice.

 

Any plan to help the millions of victims of child abuse in any meaningful way? No? OK cool..

But yeah, even though I don't agree with Pope Francis and the Catholic Church on everything, I'm glad he's finally returning emphasis to Christianity's social justice roots.

 

Perhaps Francis should instead make a stand against "greed" instead?

Because capitalism, when practiced altruistically (i.e. viewing profit as a tool instead of an end), is actually quite good.
