ST Porgs in Episode IX

In this thread we'll discuss how the porgs in Episode IX will obviously be taking over the First Order and the Resistance, and thus bringing peace to the galaxy.

Did Lucas film officially name the 3 porgs that Chewie had? I think there was 1 male and two females. If not, can someone ask Pablo about it?

 

I don't think they've officially named any yet.

Did all 3 go to Crait with him? I thought it was just 1 in the cockpit with him on the flight through the planet & in the last shot of the Resistance in the Falcon (on R2's head)?

Hope to see the porgs again in the next movie. There seemed to be quite a few on the Falcon, including a nest with babies!

 

There was one Porg in the cockpit and there was a female porg with several babies.

 

Yeah, there's a nest in the corridor.

 

The real question is. How long do Porgs live for?

 

If their life span is comparable to that of the real puffins they're based on, then about 20 years.

 

I hope Chewie keeps those baby porgs for twenty years then.

Porgs are just to cute!

 

I like the idea, suggested elsewhere, that Rey and Chewie have accidentally unleashed a vermin plague into the Galaxy.
Like cane toads in Australia.

They'll be nesting all over, pushing out native species. Getting in Bantha fur on Tatooine. In the tree tops on Endor. Nesting in airconditioning on Coruscant. A Galaxy wide nuisance.

 

But a cute nuisance. I read an article on that very topic.

 

Sömporgsåbord: The Swedish word that means there are some porgs aboard your spaceship. A Sömporgsåbord! warning light flashing on the dashboards of spaceship cockpits will be a very common occurrence during the Galactic Porg Plague Wars (Rian's new trilogy). The translation will of course be in Aurebesh.... with umlaut and overring.

So, there are two adult porgs on the Falcon, and a nest full of porglets. I think the porg in the cockpit with Chewie is possibly the mate of the female, and the father of those babies.
