no, a neighbor of mine threw out a pretty extensive collection, and then i found out when he threw out the current issue.
I took em out of the garbage and began selling them at school. Many a nintendo game, starwars figure, gi joe figure transformer were bought that way. And i wasnt blackmailing or extorting anyone, to who ever said that

A part of me says that Porn is wrong, but I dont know what. Some of it is very wrong in the sense that the people are forced/hurt, or the images are just so out there and disturbing to me (I am talking about super hard core), that stuff is wrong. But everything else...I want to say it is wrong, but I cant give a reason. No one is hurt or being forced against their will. Some say it is demining to the people in the pictures, but again, if they voneltiered...

I am not religious, so anything like "god says this" I dont agree with. Yet for some illogical reason, I think it is wrong. It is not like murder which obviously harms someone and therefor is wrong. ARg, another grey area.

thats the point, disturbing to you is not disturbing to others. There are strange people out there wholike some really strange stuff. So who are you to say what is right and what is wrong? Some sects of judaism only will have sex through a hole in a sheet. Everything else is disgusting to them. You may not like something but that doesnt make it wrong.

Probably from growing up in this "sex = EEEEEVIL" culture. Some people don't outgrow that.

Of course some Christian will probably come in here and tell you it's god telling you it's wrong.

I think porn is very wrong because people are paying money to use someone else's body for sex.

It completely degrades people's sexuality.

 

If you like porn, great. Enjoy it. If you don't, why waste your time and energy putting it down. I do not believe under any circumstance, does one person have the right to tell another how they should live their lives. Just because I would subscribe to Playboy doesn't give me the right to tell everyone else they should because it will make them a better person. Conversely, I don't want someone telling me I should never have anything to do with it because they think it's wrong. Live and let live my friends.

Boy, in an era where everyone on the planet is jumping up and screaming how wrong and judgmental it is to generalize against all Muslims based on the actions of a very few extremists, it sure is fashionable to bash anyone remotely related to Christianity.

But back on topic: For all the criticism America gets for portraying the idea that sex is "evil", I'd like to see some examples. And preferably ones that actually relate it to evil, not just to keeping it private.

No i dont use double standards it is just that it is the christians who are oppossed to it in the US where i currently live. I was pretty pissed off when i wnet to Morrrocco and they took my porn away before i could enter the country. So my point here is that i do not want the US to become like Morrocco do to the problems of fundamentalist religious people whether they be Muslim or Christian. Basically to the fundamentalists, mind your own business and let me enjoy pornography.

Personally, I'm female and I do indulge in porn. I've never seen it as objectifying anything. It's meant to stimulate a response. Porn does not knock on your door and force you to view it. You go to internet sites or rent movies when you're feeling aroused. You don't watch it with the intention of watching some woman in horrible pain (besides bukkake, which is sick). You watch it with the intention of some sort of aid with your own sex life.

And as far as the objectification of women, I have far more trouble with the made-for-tv whiny victimized women of the Lifetime channel than I do with some porn star jumping on top of a guy and showing him who's boss.

 

Porn is pretty funny. But what the hell, watch it if you feel like it. Especially youngsters, they need to know where things are, where things go and how to make things do certain things.

There's nothing wrong with sex as long as it is concentual.

Same goes for porn.

If you don't like it, do do it or watch it.

Regarding the example of porn and cigarettes if you don't like it don't do it example.I would go so far to say that porn is less damaging to other people who don't wish to indulge. How many times have you sat by someone who was obviously reading porn and forcing it on other people.

I have encountered far more second hand smoke that obvious pornography.

The people who mentioned porn as having a similar effect on young minds as extreme violence in horror movies worries me. Tying sex and violence together is a slippery slope IMO.

 

The worst that happens to most kids if they watch a horror movie is they have a few bad nightmares. These nightmares could last a week or two. Worst that happens to most kids if they got hold of some porno, they'd be confused. I fail to see how either would have any strange long lasting effects.
