And you're right, there's no heaven or hell when you're Jewish. It's one of thoes things that comes up in conversation though. i.e., my friends and I condem each other to hell all the time. But I don't think any of us really think of hell as an actual thing. It's more like, you did something naughty.

Um, we don;t believe in Hell. But we surely do believe in Heaven. You're friend Samantha is either non religious or knows nothing of her religion if she is Jewish.

We believe in Heaven. Just not Hell or Satan. We do believe in a purgatory like place we go to before entering Heaven if we did not lead the best of lives. Kind of like a rehab center. Only could be there for a max of 11 months though, depending how much you have to be cleansed and redeemed.

But Heaven is a big part.

I don't know if viewing pornography will automatically send you to an eternity of hard labor under Satan's bondage but it will make you have a relationship in your mind (and maybe elsewhere) with someone you will probably never, ever meet. That's why you buy a magazine or surf to a site with pictures of them because it is likely that you will never, ever know them. And I don't care to do that myself. It is not a matter of fear of hellfire and damnation.
