This topic is to discuss whether or not pornography should be legal, and all other related topics. Do you think it should be illigal, or just certain forms of pornography? What should and should not be aloud?

Personnally, i think any consensual pornography that isn't harmful or unhealthy to the participants should be legal. Except for beastiality.

I think I said it before in that thread. If you don't like something, don't watch it. As long as whatever the pornography is is between consenting adults, what's wrong with it?

 

I think pornography shouldn't be allowed to have a .com extension, they should all have a .xxx extension or something like that.

They shouldn't be allowed to send emails advertising their product, as I dont want it or care for it.

Beastiality, Kiddie Porn, etc should not be allowed, I find it sad people actually look this stuff up. Hell I find beastiality sick, but I can tolerate it more than pedophilia. Sick people in this world, sick people.

 

How could i forget child porn? Yes, i agree with you. I believe that children are niether physically or mentally ready for sex and it's implications. And they're not consenting adults. Anything between human, consenting adults that isn't harmful is fine by me.

I agree about porno pop-ups and emails etc etc. They drive me crazy.

I typed in thefoce.net once in a browser accidentally and got a porno site. thefoce.net? Serves me right for forgetting the letter R I suppose.

Anyway, as long as everyone involved is willing, it should be legal.

 

The thing is, the audience may not be willing, especially with internet pornography.

 

I hate pop ups in general, but porn ones are the worst. But what can ya do? The Internet is a virtually lawless place, and i like it that way.

 

There's something you can buy that prevents internet popups. Its a program you download onto your PC, I think it costs from $15-$30 to buy, I downloaded a free trial once, it was beautiful, it stopped the first 25 pop ups, problem was I hit a porn page from Yahoo once, and got a pop-up, and from that pop-up another million came up, I had to disconnect from the net and reboot to stop the pop-ups, its ridiculous, that is poor business, for anybody.

I'm not into porn, never have been. Sex, like sports, is something I'd rather do than watch. However, I don't believe in banning it, that's just repressive.

Thats great Ender_Sai. Ok, let's everybody be honest with each other now. I'm 18 years old, and since i was about 15 i've seen pornography on and off. I don't watch it much as it tends to be rubbish, comically so, which is probably their only good quality.

 

That happens to me, Jedi_Xen. For example, the Dark Side Switch campaign was moved to a site with lots of porno ads, and accidently clicked one when try to get to a scroll down bar, and ended up having to try to x like 45 pages of porn, only to have another one pop up every time I xed another one. I ended up having to restart the computer. It was completely ridiculous.

EDIT: Agreed. Professional porn is REALLY REALLY funny. I feel sorry for any guy who looks at it and thinks any girl is really like that. Poor things.

 

It should be legal as long as the reader is over 18 and there is no beastality or child porn.

Internet porn is a nature of the beast, but pop up ads need to go. I have been at work, researching somethign for a boss or client and I mistype something and get slammed with porn ad's. Very not cool.

Also Pedophelia needs to go. I will not tolerate anyone who has sex with a child and films it. That's just sick and twisted and these people need to be looked at by a healthcare professional. I don't really see the point of beastiality so I really don't have an opinion of it besided that I don't see the point.

Regular Pornography is fine. If everyone involved is over 18, why should it be banned. It's harmless.

the Sex stories are the funniest, every guy you read about is massive sized, every woman is just some sex crazed animal, and Britney SPears somehow shows up in them. Porn stories are good for a laugh, very, very few of them are any good.

It is, thats why I think it shouldn't be allowed to be on .com servers. It should be .xxx; Heaven forbid somebody try to look up Whitehouse.com. Porn industries take some of the most innoncent names and make them home pages. Kids use the internet too.

Oh yeah, and one time I was trying to send my mother to www.orisinal.com and accidently left out a letter, and the next thing I know she's IMing me asking me why I sent her this filth. Oops! Agreed, porn needs to have a different ending, like .edu does. Otherwise it's too hard NOT to accidently get a porn site and then get blamed for doing it on purpose.

And Yeah, popups suck, there definatly shouldn't be porn popups on nonporn sites. Disrespecting someone's right to not see it is just as bad as restricting someone's right to see it.

so if you don't find it sexy, it should be banned? It may be gross, but as long as everyone involved is willing, I see no reason for it to be banned.

 

What I would like to see banned is spam e-mail advertising porn sites. I'd also like to see porn pop ups banned from non-porn sites, and porn sites required to have a special extension, so there are no more "whitehouse.com"'s. As for porn itself... I personally find the idea of it disgusting, but if the actions are between consenting adults, it shouldn't be illegal.
