Gd Rapids, MI Portage-Kalamazoo Air Zoo-Halloween Party-Oct 27

I have been meaning to post this here, but I have been waiting on the details. We are working on the details so they will be forth coming. Thanks goes out to Blasty Trooper for the information blow because he received the e-mail for the event.

What: 2nd annual Haunted Halloween Party at the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. Thanks to the success of our appearance at the Boy Scout event, the Air Zoo has invited the 501st to be part of their Halloween Party.

Time-11am-3pm-we could possibly stay longer if we want to

Meet-at the Air Zoo Museum off of Portage Rd(just like the other events)

Duties-handing out tattoos, trading cards, and candy

Room-we have one to change in and store our gear

Blasters and lightsabers are good

Family members-you can bring 2 guests or family members with you to this event and if your youngling is four years old or younger they get in free

The Air Zoo will have the 501st and Rebel Legion logos on the program that will be handed out during the event.

 

I'll have to keep my eye on this event.

 

You better keep your eye on this event because Count Dooku needs to make an appearance. Sounds like I'm threating you doesn't it.

Well coming from you.. yeah.. sounds about right... lol...

Only thing that will keep me from this will be when they do the sunfield halloween. I pass out candy as a friendly sith lord to the kids, as well as take my son around to trick or treat.

Yeah, 3 or 4 hours is the game plan. I haven't updated yet anywhere else so I won't give you the time line yet. Still working things out with the event planner.

I'll be there for sure! I'm working on a new costume to wear. Hopefully it'll be done by then. If not I'll probably wear my good ol' tusken.

My wife and son are going as well. He's going to be ESB Han Solo........I think.

Anyway, hope to see all of you there.

I'll say if you need a support person there, I'll be willing to go along. (Even if my suspicions are correct for plans on that day, I won't be needed elsewhere until later that evening, if such plans did arise. )

Hey, I'm making up for it today...
I'm hoping me dressed as my usual Count Dooku, will give me the edge to win an extra 1/2 day off work.
Later I'm picking my son and wife to go to sunfield to pass out candy...

StarscreamPrime, I hope you do come out again, I want to meet all the people I can on the boards.

This year was tough... it started to rain right when people started to trick or treat. Oh well... lots of left over candy for me...

Seriously, that is an adorable picture.

And actually, I DID get one "Star Wars" trick or treater in my neighborhood. Apparently Jedi "Younglings" can't resist the lure of the candy side of the Force.

I also saw a princes leia and a storm trooper this year. Last year there were a couple jedi, so it seems sunfield still has SW costumers.

Yes... Dooku has another aprentice, and this one is very strong willed!!!

SO... who was the little storm trooper that was at the last event?

Also... When is the next event... I'm ready.
