PSU has recently opened the nation's first ever comic book archive !!!

PSU alumni Mike Richardson, founder and president of Dark Horse Comics, Inc. (based in Milwaukie, OR), has donated about 3,000 comic books, all the publications ever generated by Dark Horse, to Portland State, to help them get the first ever comic book archive started. The collection will be held in the Branford P. Millar Library at PSU. Apparently the comics have already proved popular checkout items. Patrons at other city and university libraries are already requesting them through Interlibrary Loan. You can also just peruse the comics inside the library without checking them out. It sounds like PSU plans on expanding the collection outside of the Dark Horse holdings.

This is very cool, and puts Portland on the world comic book map !!
