Now this is just speculation, but the ONLY IMAX theater in CO (which is here in the springs) is actually showing Spiderman on that big screen! Just imagine how cool that would look.

Now if they are doing this for Spiderman, do you think they may do it for EII as well? Wouldn't that be awsome?! I say we have a group viewing down here if that ever happens. I watch it carfully.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is an IMAX theater in Denver, connected to the Museum.

    I am SO there...

hmm...BUT...I just checked fandango & it doesn't have spidey listed for the imax...just for the carefree circle cinemark (which happens to be where the IMAX is at...which may be where the confusion originated).

It's on the IMAX screen, but it's not in the IMAX format. I saw X-Men & LOTR this way, and it is impressive, but Beauty & the Beast (which is in the IMAX, tell me if I got the numbers wrong, 70mm format) is damn amazing.

First IMAX to Colorado Ricketson Theatre in the Colorado Museum of History & Science.

    Second, Colorado Center Theatres

    THird, the Springs

Building on what PZ just wrote, I just wrote this in another thread:

One thing to clarify about seeing regular movies at an IMAX theater, when you are seeing a movie there that is not in IMAX form, it's just watching a regular movie projected on a very large screen with steeper stadium seating.

It's still a great way to watch a movie, i've seen LOTR, the last Trek, Castaway and others at the IMAX screen in the Colorado Center, I like it a lot, but the image is no different than what you see on a regular screen.

IMAX is currently in the process of having more regular movies blown up to IMAX size, mainly to get the company out of the red, the results are supposed to be spectacular. So far the ONLY regular commercial movies that have been shown in true IMAX format are: Fantasia 2000, Beauty and the Beast, and coming this summer, Apollo 13.

I think even though it won't be true IMAX form, it'll still look awesome on that big a screen.

If the Pavillions hadn't gotten a DLP, the IMAX screen at the Colorado Center would have been my first choice for best screen to see AOTC on.

I don't know the theaters in CS, but if you've got an IMAX screen that would be hard to beat.

I just wanted to make sure people understand that if you see Spiderman or AOTC on an IMAX screen, you're not really seeing a film in IMAX format.
