possible names for Episode III?

this was brought up on the message boards at starwars.com. i was wondering if any of yall had thought up any titles for episode 3? the one i like the most is The Rise of the Empire.

 

I like the Rise of the Empire too. I did read somewhere a working title is being used on paper at Lucasville, but I doubt it will be the final title. I think if the film is going to be dark the title should naturally reflect that. So I would be happy with anything that had Empire, Sith, etc in the title.

The one i've heard most often is Rise of the Empire. I guess that one is okay, but I thought something more like Fall of the Jedi would be more fitting. I don't really see either of these being used as the prominent word in each has already been used for other movies (Empire=Episode V and Jedi=Episode VI). But you never know what "the Flanned One" will come up with.

 

Rise of the Sith or Empire. It just seems to fit with the continuity of the story.

How about The Pupet Master. Oh! Wait. That is already a movie.

"Revenge of the Sith"

Remember the working title of "Return of the Jedi", revenge was considered a sith like quality.

 

Fall of the Republic

 

I hope that SITH is in the title.

 

I don't think that it will be another "of the" title because in the classic triology there was one "of the" being Return of the Jedi. In this prequel triology Attack of the Clones has already been used for that "of the" title. Also, The Phantom Menace being three charachters follows the format of A New Hope. By following this pattern Episode III will likely follow the pattern of The Empire Strikes Back, In conclusion, titles such as
- Rise of the Empire
- Fall of the Jedi
- Rise of the Sith
- Fall of the Republic
do not fit the format - however they are terrific titles! - but they just would not work - and I just can't think of any titles off the top of my head that would fit the "Empire Strikes Back" format

 

"The Sith Returns"

OR

"The Sith Come'th Foward" (This one just for giggles ) -- Get it Foward/Back

Revenge of the Sith

Remember the working title of Episode VI, "Revenge of the Jedi"

Lucas said Revenge was not a Jedi principle, therefore he changed Revenge to Return.

I don't know how many of you caught it, but Lucas has stated that the online community has already guessed the title. He also stated that Lucasfilm will not release the name until November when the first trailer comes out!

Anyone else here starting to get antsy? I can't believe that the final movie is less than a year away. I can't wait, and I hope that it is a great one!

it is most likely going to be revenge of the sith. Lucas had an interview with USA Today and kinda hinted at that title when they asked if that was it.

As long as we finally get the word Sith in a SW title everything will be okay.

I don't think it will be Revenge of the Sith...this is too close to Attack of the Clones.
