Possible new JC look

We lowly folk still can't see who we're logged in as, but the style is much better overall.

 

The color of your name at the top, I believe, can be changed. I'll bring that up.

 

Seems ok...

I would have gone for a lighter shade of blue thought....

 

I love the new color, now if I could only become a mod.....

 

What does that have to do with anything?

I like the blue, but the gray on gray is kinda bit much gray. :S

And yeah, I can't see my username at all.

 

I brought the issue of the username up for discussion.

 

Is there any way we can darken the "new page" number color? It's kinda tough to tell what pages have been read and which ones haven't. Other than that, I really like this color scheme.

I can sort of see my name but i know where it is so i can still click on it easily.

However, i can now only see the top of the banner up the top... is that just a problem I'm having or a board-wide thing because I stopped being able to see it when the colours changed.... ? just wondering....

I think the new colours are great. The only suggestion I would make would be, perhaps, to lighten the colour that the board and total post numbers are in, its pretty bright.

I can see my name perfectly. Although maybe thats because I like seeing Navy Blue with Black ?

Yup, I think the username colour should be lightened a little as well. Otherwise, I love it

 

I like this new color scheme. Much better than the purple one.

 

i think it looks great, and i am delighted that it has been implemented board wide...

one small thing, though...

the page numbers ( [page: 1 2 3 4 5 ... 6] ) need to have a higher color contrast to indicate, better, which links/pages you have/haven't visited...

if that can be worked out, all will be be truly wonderful with the world

 

It should be lightened, I agree. Maybe to a Gray-ish?

I do have one more suggestion for the colors in the face of those complaining that the user name is difficult to see in the top blue section: Perhaps change the background of the user name from transparent to medium grey (#cccccc). This would make the highlight behind the user names the same as the column color, yet it would allow the name to be more visable at the top. This, however, would make the medium grey stand out a bit against the lightest grey when viewing your watched users (see a sample of this here).

Or....you could change the user name background to the lighter grey (#dddddd), which would make the highlight stand out against the medium grey column, but blend with the lighter grey when you look at your watched users. Again, this solution will also render the user name at the top more visable (see a sample of this here).

Just a suggested solution to the problem. Again, thanks to everyone who supported this color scheme.

EDIT: After thought, I realize that I think the first option would be better, as then the user names would blend in when viewing the main pages of the board and also the individual message pages. Just another random thought.
