Okay, I thought I would toss this out as a future event...

Who, if any, would be interested in driving up to the hills for a day to play in the snow?

Yes, that's the pic. Laugh it up all you Rogues. I tend to think I don't find myself in compromising situations often enough...so it's nice to have photo evidence that Hawkie isn't a complete angel.

If we get a pretty big group we could get a big cabin and that would make it cheap to stay. Like a three bedroom house is about $300.00 a night. It can sleep 10 to 12 people. It would be like $30.00 a night per person.
It could be one big weekend party!

A snow trip sounds like a great idea! Do you know of any place that rents those waterproof ski pants? I've never gone skiing, but I borrowed a pair years ago for a family trip to snowed-in Tahoe, and they were just great.

 

Well, it sounds like lots of people are interested in an event like this. I like Avalyn's idea as well. Lets start preparing an event like this.

 

We have any tentative dates? I like the idea of a friday/saturday set up!

Northstar , Diamond Peak, and Mt. Rose ski resorts are all within ten miles or so of the place Tina suggested.

I dont know how many of you like to ski but Northstar also has tubing, cross country, and ice skating

For those of you who dont know how to ski, lessons are actually pretty fun and you get a lift ticket and equipment with the lesson

I love iceskating and It'd be fun to learn how to ski. Then we can all laugh as Hawkie falls on her tail.

 

Tahoe isn't too far you guys? We have snow up to Sonora and some rental houses up in the mountains, but I don't know the cost. Just tossing an idea.

Although from the weather we've had lately you wouldnt guess it, but the snow season is going by so its time to inaugerate the first Rogue Snow trip. How does one of the first two weekends in April sound?

The place that Avalyn recommennded looks pretty cool and the more people we can get the cheaper it'll be.

Along with the snow sports within minutes of the place, there will be plenty of time for hot tubbing, casinoing, DVD watching, Star Wars game playing, tauntaun stalking, blue milk drinking, and the usual debauchery.

I just need to know an exact date. Prefrably the 2nd week but the 1st week of april shouldn't be a problem.

I need a serious head count of Rogues, family and friends who are going on this trip.

Then I can start the plans and reserving the cabin or lodge that we want to stay and ski at.
