What do you think of those then

 

I don't really like any of those, but maybe they'll grow on me. The last one in particular is too close to Raiders of the Lost Ark.

By the way, I'm having a competition on my website to guess the title for Indy 4.

 

Destroyer of Worlds seems to be a reference to Oppenheimer's quoting of that Indian goddess after the first atomic bombing. We know that there might be an atomic bomb at the beginning of the movie but I didn't think it would be of major importance to the main plot.

Anyway I still think most of those are bogus and City of the Gods is the real title.

 

I hope so as well.

 

Now the real question is is it "City of the Gods" or "City of Gods" .

 

Going by the image posted at the website it's "Indiana Jones and the City of Gods."

I've heard Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods before...

 

The City of Gods is the only one that seems to me like it might really be a movie title.

 

Just judging the sound of the titles, the only ones I like are City of Gods and Quest for the Covenant, though the latter really doesn't work because of Raiders, as was already mentioned.

 

All the titles are serialesque and would fit, but I like City of Gods the most. I liked it when I first heard it and the possible storyline.

 

Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods (the "the" makes it) and Indiana Jones and the Fourth Corner of the Earth both seem alright to me, though I'm not massively enthused by any of them. I'm sure whichever one it is will grow on me.

 

"Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods" is too repetitive and adds an unnecessary beat. Take out the "the" and it flows better. In my opinion anyway.

 

If it is City of Gods, what is the city likely to be?

El Dorado? Atlantis?

 

If one is the real title, I have to go with "Quest for the Covenant." Because of the implied action in a quest, it's the one that fits best with the original three, which had the words "Raiders," "Doom," & "Crusade" respectively, to imply some type of action. This is something the seemingly most popular one, "City of the Gods" doesn't have.

 

True, but isn't that also the case for Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark?

 

I dunno.. I don't think you should analyze the titles too much for what implies action and what doesn't. It reminds me of the weird ways people tried to predict PT titles, and they were usually wrong. Besides it just makes me think of the Ark.

 

You may be right. But my real oppinion is that none of those are the real deal. They've just used this as a beautiful distraction to keep people guessing, instead of trying to get onto the sets and such.

 

No you're absolutely right. When they added "Indiana Jones and the" to "Raiders of the Lost Ark" they created the same repetition. Since they've done it before they could do it again. So who knows? We'll just have to wait and see.

 

I actually like Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls

 

I like "Indiana Jones and the Fourth Corner of the Earth"
