Solo Possible titles for the Han Solo movie if not "Han Solo"

Yeah. With all the rumors (sea creature, Ach-Too birds), I look forward to more creatures populating the landscape in Rian Johnson's Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.

From the context in which it was used, it's sounds like it was some sort of insult. Maybe nerf herding is some disreputable activity

It's similar to hillbilly, country bumpkin, and pejoratives like that. Code for "ignorant," usually used by urbanites who have prejudices regarding the unwashed rural peasants. Has old roots. In Italian, for example, there's a similar phrase "burino." It means "butter man" and refers to the guy from the country who would bring butter into town. Originates in the Middle Ages.

Most insults have a real world root, however twisted the reality has become. So in the nerfherder instance, I imagine urbanites grew to see nerfherders as ignorant country bumpkins, and turned it into a pejorative and colorful word for "ignorant."

So it'd be a fun little joke to see a herder herding nerfs. Don't think Miller and Lord can resist.

Hopefully it hasn't already been stated, but "Kessel Runner"...

 

^Many title suggestions have been made about the Kessel Run before, but I think you're the first one to come up with "Kessel Runner". It's really cool, although I think it may sound too similar to Blade Runner which could potentially have Disney run into some lawsuit problems with Warner Bros.

 

Funny that it was my first thought for a joke. Marching to the beat of my own xylophone, I suppose. I think it's going to have a simple title, similar to Rogue One; something that definitively says "this is about young Han Solo" as opposed to giving people with no info the thought that it could even conceivably have Harrison Ford in it.

If they hadn't been used for other material both 'Smugglers Run' and 'Flight of the Falcon' would have been a good fit.
If they want to continue the path of callbacks and for lack of a better word, fan servicing, then the caption they used for the first official image from set 'Han First Shot' is good, if a little tongue cheek. Maybe change it slightly to Han's First Shot. The joke still works.

I think someone used it as a joke but I honestly do like A Fistful of Credits: A Star Wars Story. Didn't they say that the Han Solo standalone was supposed to be like a space western.

 

I'd bet against The Gambler. That title still says Kenny Rogers to many of us.
