AICN has an article that says that Harrison Ford might have slipped up and given away the working title for Indy 4. Highlight below for the title, or click the link above, at your own risk:

Indiana Jones and the Opal of the Mer-Man Prince

Personally, I don't think that's the title but since Lucas has approved the script for Indy 4 you never know. If true it's an awful title IMO.

It's too early. Even if it's true might just be a working title and changed later to the real one. Sometimes titles are even changed after promo work starts like Revenge of the Jedi to more recently where The Blackout Murders, to Blackout and then Twisted. You also can't count Ford using his dead pan humor to buzz off reporters.

Oh that Lucas and his wacky titles. I actually hope that's not the real one. The Lucas bashers would have a field day. Of course Lucas could be having a bit of fun like he did when he gave Episode II the working title "Jar Jar's Great Adventure". [face_laugh]

Sounds too funky to be true.

EDIT: The working title should be "Short Round's Big Adventure".

Yeah, I don't buy it. Either the report isn't legit or Ford was joking. Or drunk. Or both.

It's not so much the title I have problems with (although I do), but the implications it would have for the plot.

I would bet my savings account that Ford was having a little fun.
Epsicially since that must have been about the 5'000 time that Ford has probably been asked that question.
No way it could be something that silly.

I'm going to wager that this isn't the true title, it is far too soon and Ford wouldn't let it slip out in the first place.

    Sorry but that isn't it.

Sounds more like a Harry Potter title than anything else.

I don't like that title. I hope they come up with something better than that. :p

If the follow up to such a deep and meaningful film as The Last Crusade is "The Opal of the Mer-Man Prince," it'll be a terrible shame. This film already has enough against it(old Indy, the age difference between Sean and Harrison becoming very blurred, no Marcus etc.)than to name it something that ridiculous.

The record is set straight. Harrison was just having some fun. That's not the actual title.

I thought I posted a link earlier but I don't see it now, so I'll repost it. http://www.iesb.net/paramount2005/060905b.php

EDIT: I guess the 'link' button doesn't work. Oh well, it's there now.

That proves the title is bunk.

I think "Indy 4: The Search for More Money", is the best possible title.

    Not much.

We know that Steven Spielberg will be directing and that George Lucas wrote the story. I believe Jeff Nathanson wrote the screenplay. Months ago, after numerous rejections, the screenplay was finally approved by everyone involved. We also know that Indiana Jones will be again played by Harrison Ford. The film will likely be produced by Frank Marshall and Lucas, and the scores will be John Williams for sure. I think Michael Kahn is still going to edit. Not sure about that though.

Other than that, I don't think there is much more confirmed news. A lot of rumors though.

That's a VERY whacky title. That almost sounds like something I'd expect to see on Mad TV.

TFJ, we havbe no idea what Indy IV will be about. All we know at this point is that it seems like its definetly going to happen and that Harrison and Sean will be in it. We have no release date, no story and not even a working title beyond Indy IV. I don't that we're going to hear anything about this movie for quite a while because we have to wait for Steve Speilberg to finish his Munich movie and to do his Lincoln biopic.
