Post 1 gripe about one of the original trilogy films

Yep post one thing you never liked about the original films. Just tell us all that one thing that never sat so well with you and why. But don't discuss someone elses gripe before you. Just post your own. Here's mine.

Mon Mothma. Who is she? What makes her so great? Where was she before? Completely unnecessary character.

I've always wanted to see Palpatine mention Yoda to Luke in the ROTJ movie.

 

My gripe? Why only three films? When are they going to make more?!?! Where do they all come from!?!?!

Okay, my ONLY real gripe...why does obi wan's saber short out?!?! WHY?!?!?! EVEN IN THE REDONE TRILOGY!!!!! AHHH!

 

The whole dialogue in the Death Star with Luke and Leia at the bridge ("They are coming through!") is one of the worst, most annoying acting ever.

 

In ROTJ. After their done planning the attack on the Death Star, Han is getting his crew, and Luke walks in with his, "I'm with you too." Hamill doesn't get in the vicinity of a good delivery of the line, and the whole scene itself feels forced and awkward.

 

Not enough of Leia in her slave outfit!!!

Okay, I'll post one specific to me, one that other people probably won't mention.

English writing on the Death Star.

I read that TOO!!! When Luke makes his final run on the Death Star I glimpsed 'Big DV wuz ere!!' sprayed on one of the walls!!! VANDAL!!!!

Obi-Wan dieing.

In the original redone script he and Vader were separated in their duel by a door slamming down. Soon after Obi-Wan was wounded in a battle with some stormies but he made it back to Yavin where he sat out the death star battle in a wheel chair. And hugged luke at the end. yay.

 

They arn't on DVD yet!

 

The whole Luke/Leia being siblings is annoying to me. I mean, this was the one that started the whole "everyone in the GFFA is related", leading to such ridiculous situations as 3-PO being created by Anakin! Argghhh! What next, Chewie served under Obi Wan in the Clone Wars? Oh wait, was that a spoiler?

 

A New Hope takes a little while really "get going"

 

Obi-Wan returning as a ghost - and at the end of ROTJ Yoda and Anakin as ghosts.
It's just a bit too silly for my taste.
And Obi-Wan got himself killed promising that he would become more powerfull than Vader could imagine.
I guess Vader didn't have much of an imagination, because all Obi-Wan's ghost did was talk to Luke and Yoda.
He could have done that and more if he had still been alive!
That has always annoyed me a bit.

Oh yes, and the Falcon flew to another star system without a hyperdrive...would have only taken a few hundred years or so (let's not get into this again).

But they're still great!!

The Battle of Hoth, it annoys me. I just don't like watching movies with "snow" in them. I hate it! I have to live with it most of the year!

 

More Lightsaber fight and Leia's (Bikini suit)-{love}

 

Without going into the acting and cheezy dialog everyone likes to complain about (but which is typical of almost every action flick made for kids), I guess the one thing that always bugged me was Admiral Akbar. The mask, the floppy "fingers", or whatever they were, it was all just too fake. The voice was good and fishy, but everything else about Akbar was not convincing at all. Yoda was a puppet, the Ewoks were puppets, but somehow they were much more convincing. And if you're talking about the Special Editions, my biggest gripe would be Jedi Rocks in ROTJ. It looked like the damn Muppet Show. Sheesh!

 

My one and only gripe. Three words.
